True Reformation:

The Reforming of the Church according to Scripture

Part 9

…He that Believeth Not is Condemned Already…

Lest we forget the reason for our title as well as the purpose of this series of messages,

Lev_26:23 And if ye will not be reformed by me by these things, but will walk contrary unto me;

Lev 26:24 Then will I also walk contrary unto you, and will punish you yet seven times for your sins.

Yet remission of these sins is constantly available:

Lev 26:40 If they shall confess their iniquity, and the iniquity of their fathers, with their trespass which they trespassed against me, and that also they have walked contrary unto me;

Lev 26:41 And that I also have walked contrary unto them, and have brought them into the land of their enemies; if then their uncircumcised hearts be humbled, and they then accept of the punishment of their iniquity:

Lev_26:42 Then will I remember my covenant with Jacob…with Isaac… and with Abraham…

Thus, in examination of the multi-faceted relevance of Reform and Reformation, the Covenant God made with the Israel of God via Abraham, Isaac and Jacob part and parcel to the place of Return from the Curse. Remembering that the Hebrew Word YaXaR or XaR references a Turn of position, in the case of Moses at the Burning bush as we had read in the fist part of the series, in Exo_3:3-4 And Moses said, I will now turn aside, and see this great sight… And when the LORD saw that he turned aside to see, God called unto him out of the midst of the bush, and said, Moses, Moses. And he said, Here am I.

This was a Reform, or a Turning and if we link the concepts of Joh_3:3…Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. and in understanding that as a Reference to the Dominion or Sovereignty of The LORD God, whose name is YHWH, it is recognizable yet again that before even Moses could Enter he first had to Turn and See. We could as well stretch the concept of Isogetical approach from John 3 and read it into the story of Moses with the Israelite Exodus from Egyptian bondage referenced in Lev 26, to see how the apostle Paul says in 1Co_10:2 …all baptized unto Moses in the cloud and in the sea.., referencing the literal physical Faith which walked through the Red sea as those who crossed recognized the Grace of Salvation from bondage, they Placed Faith in the Salvation offered, they Sanctified them selves by the Passover, and Full of Faith through Grace unto Sanctification they were Baptized unto Moses by literally walking through the immersive waters of the Sea, an act which like the anti-typical baptism taught in the flood of Noah referenced in 1Pe_3:20-21 , so Israel was saved from the Egyptian overlords who had dominion over their mortal bodies. If you consider both anti-typical baptisms here listed as it concerns water, the issue of logic is presently seen that Condemnation was the normative state of both people, but He That Is God Saved them or Delivered them / Helped them by Water. The impacting part of this notion is Not the destruction of the wicked(ness) but the Saving of the object of Grace by YHWH’s Faithfulness. In other words, the focus of the statement in 1 Peter 3 is not on Destruction of the World of Noah but upon the saving of the eight souls, and as well in Exo_14:13 …Moses said unto the people, Fear ye not, stand still, and see the salvation of the LORD… The implication of both anti-types, that is negative imprints of Baptism here seen is Salvation from condemnation which prior exists.

All of YHWH’s Children of Covenant promise have this Merciful Grace standing alone for our grasping, YHWH God’s faithfulness to forgive and remit sin and to remember his Covenant is ever present for His people, Yet this Grace must be had through Faith, that is a Belief and Trust in that Covenant Grace of Promise, thus it is as well by Faith Alone reckoned as Righteousness before the scales of God this can happen because our Sin has rendered us valueless before a holy LORD God and the Wrath of God has been welled up against us, yet By this inputted Righteousness given to us by Jesus Christ, the perfect son of God, who gave himself for us, to redeem those who were under the Law of Sin and Death (Gal 4:4), Christ who by his Cross made of a tree became a curse for us (Gal_3:13-14) that we might have this blessing of the promise in Covenant to Abraham come upon us in repeal of the Curse of the Law.

Thus,

Rom 6:19 …as ye have yielded your members servants to uncleanness and to iniquity unto iniquity; even so now yield your members servants to righteousness unto holiness. (This is again Sanctification, our holiness in Christ and towards God as part of His Cord of Salvation.)

Rom 6:20 For when ye were the servants of sin, ye were free from righteousness.

Rom 6:21 What fruit had ye then in those things whereof ye are now ashamed? for the end of those things is death.

Rom 6:22 But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life.

Rom 6:23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Either if you believe it or not, this is the lesson throughout Scripture, and more so, when we recognize the Word of God as the person of Jesus Christ, this is the lesson of the Law of God to every mortal body under God’s Covenant, is under the Law,

And this is the message of the Word of God Contained in our Bible and within John 3 the same is reckoned, as it is literally taught in the reality of obedience to the Law of Water Baptism for our Flesh and it’s realistic unification with our Spirit, it is part of our obedience to God as King of All, heaven and earth, flesh and spirit, material and immaterial, the rule of Sin unto death or Obedience to righteousness.

So let us consider again in this light the statements of John 3, which we have honed communicated to a Pharisees, named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews:

Jesus Told him Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.

Joh 3:6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.

Joh 3:7 Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.

Joh 3:8 The wind /spirit bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit.

Joh 3:9

Nicodemus answered and said unto him, How can these things be?

Joh 3:10 Jesus answered and said unto him, Art thou a master of Israel, and knowest not these things?

Joh 3:11 Verily, verily, I say unto thee, We speak that we do know, and testify that we have seen; and ye receive not our witness.

Joh 3:12 If I have told you earthly things, and ye believe not, how shall ye believe, if I tell you heavenly things?

Briefly in unrolling this statement: Christ is admitting again knowledge of the Earthly realm and that of the Heavenly. Concerning witness and testamony to what is known, the Law of God and general logic in truth attest to this establishment of facts by evidence and witness. This is why in Joh_3:10 the question concerning Nicodemus as a Earthly master is asked, The establishment and differentiation of Evidence and Facts, and that by what we know and speak of and have seen and testify to is a simple concept of all Law, having it’s basis in the Logic of Exo_20:16, Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbour.

As well this is taught throughout the law Exo_23:1, Exo_23:7, Lev 19:11-12,

And according to the two or three witness rule of Deu_19:15

The ‘we’ refereed to in 3:11 is referencing John the Baptist who is recorded to give this very testimony of Christ who is here giving it now of himself, withall tying this lesson into the initial context of this conversation concerning Nicodemus acknowledging Christ as a teacher from God, and the lesson contained in being born again from above as well as it’s duel reality in water and spirit as it relates to Baptism.

And in Joh_3:13 Christ makes the ‘nail driving statement’ focusing again on His Dominion, power and authority when he says:

And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, even the Son of man which is in heaven.

This is a part of the emphasis of God’s Kingdom seeing and Enterance that is often missed in considering these verses, that this statement is referencing a prophetic vision known to men like Nicodemus, master’s of Israel and rulers of the people of Judah, seen and testified to by Daniel the prophet:

Dan_7:13-14 I beheld in the night vision, and, lo, one coming with the clouds of heaven as the Son of man, and he came on to the Ancient of days, and was brought near to him.

Dan 7:14 And to him was given the dominion, and the honour, and the kingdom; and all nations, tribes, and languages, shall serve him: his dominion is an everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and his kingdom shall not be destroyed.

Talk about a full circle of conclusion! All the Psalms concerning the Lordship and king ship of the Anointed Messiah, the Christ and His rule having all things under his feet as part of His kingdom in here. The Son of Man found in Psa_8:4-6 What is man, that thou art mindful of him? or the son of man, that thou visitest (select by number, first born here!) him?

Psa 8:5 Thou madest him a little less than angels, thou hast crowned him with glory and honour;

Psa 8:6 and thou hast set him over the works of thy hands: thou hast put all things under his feet…

This subject is so loaded in our understanding, that a simple act of Baptism in the flesh by Earthly Water on account of our born again sight by the Spirit in seeing this Kingdom of God!

And in that way, in that elevation, and ascension into the Heavens at the Right hand of God, seated with the Ancient of Days He says:

Joh 3:14 And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up:

Joh 3:15 That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.

And here it is, the worlds favorite Bible verse for universal salvation:

Joh 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

Joh 3:17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.

Yet what is left from the Context is that Faith in the dominion of Christ, and Power of Judgment commited unto Him in ruling the Nations from Psalm 2, 8, and 110 and the distinction between those who yeild themselves and bow to His will by his Law and rule as fruits of repentance unto salvation and those who will be found dirty and filthy, speachless when they are confronted with their filth before the king contrary to his Law, therefore the context of the churches favorite universal salvation verse continues in a very un-universal way, saying:

Joh 3:18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

Joh 3:19 And this is the condemnation /damnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.

Joh 3:20 For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.

Joh 3:21 But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.

When the Spirit of God from Heaven moved upon the Waters of the Earth what did it first call? LIGHT, and from that first action moving the Waters by the breath of the Word of God light shined, and darkness and void was dispelled, chaos was changed to life. As it was so shall it evermore be, Earthly men desire darkness, that their dark deeds be hidden, men love chaos and confusion because it keeps them unaccountable to an orderly standard of righteousness contrary to the will of God ordered by his Word and ordained for His Kingdom! When any part of us repulses a word of God, even the most obscure part of God’s Law, that repulse and rejection is the Evidence to this Fact. As well ones desistance from Obedience to conform to the Word of God is Fact to the matter.

If you ever thought John 3:16 was a fluffy loving verse, cotton candy bible lullaby music you obviously over looked the entire context of this total lesson, that all who are with out Christ and Faith in his Kingdom ARE GOD DAMNED ALREADY!

Albeit, Rom 8:1-6: There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

Rom 8:2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.

Rom 8:3 For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh:

Rom 8:4 That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

Rom 8:5 For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit.

Rom 8:6 For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.

Someone will inevitably say that I have Isogeted (read into) this chapter too much, yet immediately after this lesson of Salvation by Faith and Damnation by the lack thereof, and the hope of Eternal life we are back again at our subject to help confirm the lesson of Baptism we may attain:

Joh 3:22 After these things came Jesus and his disciples into the land of Judaea; and there he tarried with them, and baptized.

Joh 3:23 And John also was baptizing in Aenon near to Salim, because there was much water there: and they came, and were baptized.

Joh 3:24 For John was not yet cast into prison.

Joh 3:25 Then there arose a question between some of John’s disciples and the Jews about purifying.

Joh 3:26 And they came unto John, and said unto him, Rabbi, he that was with thee beyond Jordan, to whom thou barest witness, behold, the same baptizeth, and all men come to him.

Joh 3:27 John answered and said, A man can receive nothing, except it be given him from heaven.

Joh 3:28 Ye yourselves bear me witness, that I said, I am not the Christ, but that I am sent before him.

Joh 3:29 He that hath the bride is the bridegroom: but the friend of the bridegroom, which standeth and heareth him, rejoiceth greatly because of the bridegroom’s voice: this my joy therefore is fulfilled.

Joh 3:30 He must increase, but I must decrease.

Joh 3:31 He that cometh from above is above all: he that is of the earth is earthly, and speaketh of the earth: he that cometh from heaven is above all.

Joh 3:32 And what he hath seen and heard, that he testifieth; and no man receiveth his testimony.

Joh 3:33 He that hath received his testimony hath set to his seal that God is true.

Joh 3:34 For he whom God hath sent speaketh the words of God: for God giveth not the Spirit by measure unto him.

Joh 3:35 The Father loveth the Son, and hath given all things into his hand.

Joh 3:36 He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.

Joh 4:1 When therefore the Lord knew how the Pharisees had heard that Jesus made and baptized more disciples than John, (Though Jesus himself baptized not, but his disciples,) …

The Context of John 3 and running into 4, originating in Chapter 1 is consistent, the testimony just read is the witness of the knowledge of John the Baptist as that ‘we’ refereed to by Christ prior in Joh_3:11 …We speak that we do know, and testify that we have seen…

The message of John differed in no wise from that of our Lord, though it be his testimony, recognizing: His heavenly begotten nature, his function as the Word of God, his Spirit with out measure, his giving of ALL thing to his hand including his authority over Everlasting Life and Death, that is his ability to remit condemnation and wrath by your pledge of allegiance called Faith which is our literal Belief in the Kingdom of our God.

Belief is not that we only see the Kingdom by a heart and mind born again to see our need for Grace, but that our Grace is put in action by and through our Faith that we have forgiveness and access to his Kingdom on Earth as it is in Heaven, thereby we except this First step across the border of Spirit and Flesh in Water Baptism for the remission of Sin thereby stepping back from Flesh to Spirit again walking now with our God according to his Word, a constant and constant mending of flesh and spirit made by the Sovernty of YHWH God as LORD of Heaven and Earth and all that in them is!

About JS Lowther

Foremost I know that I am a chief sinner saved by Grace. I am a servant of YHWH Almighty the one true God Who is Father, Son and Spirit. I believe in God's only begotten and perfect Son Jesu(s) Christ whose redemption power of my soul I have Faith in and testify of. Having been redeemed by the blood of Christ, I wish to no longer spend my time in the lusts of the flesh and of this world, but to promote the Gospel of the Kingdom by means of the knowledge of the New Covenant, a reNewal of the Covenant God made with his people Israel in the blood of Christ (Jer 31:31 and Heb 8:8) whereby He writes His Law upon the Heart and Mind beside the forgiveness of sin and transgressions. I believe Christ Jesus is the incarnate Son of God as the WORD made flesh, and the son of man born of the virgin Mary conceived of the Holy Spirit: I believe Christ Jesus Lived a perfect life for us as a living sacrifice as well as a pattern of the Sanctified newness of life a believer has in Him, I believe Christ Jesus died a cursed death on the Cross for His people of Covenant who are sinners, and I believe in Christ Jesus who Resurrected with power from Death from the grave to Justify the offenders. This is the same Jesus who is indeed the Son of David and king of Israel, who is both LORD and Christ over all the kings and dominions of the earth! In the fullness of time YHWH will regather his people under the Head of the Church, Jesu(s) Christ to affect his will according to the Lord's prayer, Psalm 2, 8 and 110 as well as Genesis 1:26. The focus of my administration of the Gospel is like unto my Lord's who said "I have come not but for the lost sheep of the house of Israel.."(Mathew 15:24), and so I have come to my European kinsman according to the flesh. It is my mission to show the Israel of God the Salvation which is taught by Scripture Alone and offered in all ages by Grace Alone through Faith Alone in the work of Christ Alone to the Glory of GOD Alone. As a modern day Puritan separatist it is my goal to purify the church of Christ with Faith heretofore stated. I am studying to show my self approved, if you have any questions just ask!
