True Reformation:

The Reforming of the Church according to Scripture

Part 12

An EverLasting Righteousness

(Reading from: Brenton LXX)

Lev_26:9 And I will look upon you, and increase you, and multiply you, and establish my covenant with you.

Lev 26:10 And ye shall eat that which is old and very old, and bring forth the old to make way for the new.

Lev 26:11 And I will set my tabernacle among you, and my soul shall not abhor you;

Lev 26:12 and I will walk among you, and be your God, and ye shall be my people.

And (Jer_31:33-34)

Jer_38:33 For this is my covenant which I will make with the house of Israel; after those days, saith the Lord, I will surely put my laws into their mind, and write them on their hearts; and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people.

Jer 38:34 And they shall not at all teach every one his fellow citizen, and every one his brother, saying, Know the Lord: for all shall know me, from the least of them to the greatest of them: for I will be merciful to their iniquities, and their sins I will remember no more.

Overview

So as an over view once again, as series this long often time have points made in the beginning that are lost as the compiler puts forth his objective whole. In this case the True Reformation of the Church according to Scripture, In this case the message being forwarded is for the contemplation of those who consider them selves the church more so than for the heathen, nevertheless if the Spirit of God would find this message fitting to open the eyes of the inward parts of the heathen to Repent and find faith in Christ as King of Heaven and Earth the person would as well find the same method of Salvation and being Saved from this untoward generation as would the one who was raised his entire life in a Christian home and only knowing this thing called faith as a religious culture or this thing called grace as a synonym for the happiness they find in their faith, or Sanctification as a feeling felt when singing songs or hearing the preacher speak in the church yet never acknowledging the verity of YHWH’s rule and his Dominion given by His right hand to His only begotten on Jesu the Anointed. In short that is the impact all of the words I’ve offered you thus far; the fact of the matter is that the Scriptures go to great length to express that simple point, and with in the weave woof of it’s fabric every command and concept acts as a thread in it’s constructing, as every Inspired Word is the pure un-mingled fiber which makes up those threads.

I have put forward multiple concepts of Salvation to take our mind to consider it’s recipe as well as it’s engendering: like in a cake recipe every ingredient counts whether it be substantive or transformative it is an ingredient that if intentionally left out will alter the out come of the cake, so it is as well with God given Salvation, which can save or preserve us unto eternal life in Jesus Christ our Lord; as well the cord of Salvation which has been used to show the biblical necessity for Faith, Grace and Sanctification in the soul of a Christian, that this Cord must contain these God ordained smaller cords with in them made of again the pure fabric of the Inspired Word which come from the Scripture.

Yet it has been in this last twine of the cord we have been at focus in the element of Sanctification or Holiness.

While, again it must be said, that unraveling this cord only weakens it, and to remove any element of it will destroy it’s integrity as every thread bears it’s weight upon the other so much that with great labor one would go through to differentiate between them and yet their labor would be in vain to find an absolute division of the nature of this cord.

So it is that while the Sanctification aspect of this discussion continues from Seeing the kingdom in acknowledgment of the Dominion of Heaven and Earth, flesh and Spirit, material and immaterial which according to Psalm 2 is the Cord or bands of YHWH and His Christ, as well Entering the Kingdom by Water and Spirit and the further acknowledgment of the Kingdom which was first seen and actualized in our mind is as well acknowledged to be within Christ’s disciple (which is by interpretation Christ’s learners, students or pupil), as well that it is the Law of God which has been expressed since the Law ever was to be within upon ones inward parts, heart and mind: that is that from the very first glimpse we are given of the Kingdom of God and it’s dominion authority and power over our Spirit and mortal body we start to press into it no differently than any other alien does in this world when he seeks to be a citizen, for we seeking to be in the kingdom we to whom it was prepared press into it by fear of the LORD, by walking in all his ways, by love of the LORD, and by serving the LORD with all our heart and with all our soul, AND by keep the commandments of the LORD, and his statutes, which we are behooved to do for it is after all for our good. (Deu_10:12-13)

Christ’s thoughts on this subject of the Law and it’s role in the Kingdom

Let’s consider Christ’s thoughts on this subject of the Law and it’s role in the Kingdom, where he is King: as well as it’s intimacy to Christ’s students or disciples, the Citizens and brothers of the Kingdom in the last portion of the lesson commonly called the ‘beatitudes’ which in ending off deals with the inevitable persecution Christians are to expect in the world, some of which echos of the separation caused by the Spirit of Truth between Followers of Christ and the world prior read in John 17.

Mat_5:10 Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness’ sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

Mat 5:11 Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake.

Mat 5:12 Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you.

Mat_5:13 Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men.

Mat 5:14 Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.

Mat 5:15 Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house.

Mat 5:16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.

Persecution for righteousness sake?

Notice the progression of the lesson:

Persecution for righteousness sake:

Now we have have 2 definitive aspects of Righteousness which come by Scripture Alone, they must harmonize to create a whole.

A. The primary concept of the necessity of Righteousness by Faith Alone: Gen_15:6 And Abraham believed in THE LORD; and he counted it to him for righteousness.

and

B. Deu_6:25 And it shall be our righteousness, if we observe to do all these commandments before the LORD our God, as he hath commanded us.

Recollect the Law upon the inward parts, our last message, it is easily over looked but that is what form of righteousness is described here in the statement ‘as he has commanded us’, in no place do we find empty ritualistic obedience as the formula for righteousness under the directive of Moses, the law of Moses, rather we find ‘as YHWH has commanded us’ being spoken of by Moses as the Law of Moses that is directly following the greatest commandment taught by Christ; Deu_ 6:4 Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God is one LORD:

Deu 6:5 And thou shalt love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might.

Deu 6:6 And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be in thine heart…

C. The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach;

Rom 10:9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

Rom 10:10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

Rom 10:11 For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him (Christ) shall not be ashamed (filthy)

Case and Point: The LORD YHWH has never accepted physical obediance as true righteousness, NEVER; rather It is Righteousness which comes by Faith, under the socalled Mosaic covenant and under the New Covenant, which I offer that the New Covenant has always been the Covenant Established by Faith and Counted as Righteousness, since the foundation of the world by the breath of the Word of God, which is the WORD of Faith.

D.Psa_119:142 Thy righteousness is an everlasting righteousness, and thy law is the truth.

The point is that that the summery of Righteousness we have NOW, at this Time is the summery of Righteousness Adam and Abraham, and Moses and David and Paul all had! or how else could it be said in Mat_23:35 That upon you may come all the righteous blood shed upon the earth, from the blood of righteous Abel unto the blood of Zacharias son of Barachias…

So reconsider the statement of Christ in a biblical and not a traditional context of Righteousness

Mat_5:10 Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness’ sake… theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake. Rejoice, and be glad… Here is the Law and the prophets! Here is the WORD the Law and the Prophet’s speak it’s also the Word made flesh believed in the heart, Jesus in the Heart, the light of the world seen in the light of God’s Law upon the Heart ad the forgiveness of sin, an Eternal Righteousness which has been consistent in the Word of God as a Law which is Truth… Just preach that Gospel and watch the persecution and reviling poured upon you.

2. Salt?

We often hear this verse quoted as if it has it’s own intrinsic meaning, but it is a biblical conventional context the salt is viewed in, and that is a Lev_2:13 & Num_18:19 setting, that ‘every gift of your sacrifice shall be seasoned with salt; omit not the salt of the covenant of the Lord from your sacrifices: on every gift of yours… ye shall offer salt to the Lord your God., so in the biblical context of the chapter of Matt 5, the heart condition is called back and for us the presentation of our bodies as living sacrifices is called back to memory, that is that God’s WORD, beginning with his logic or law, is our reasonable service, salt takes our New Covenant beyond lip service, beyond empty sacrifice, and into the Righteousness which comes by Faith in the total WORD of God saw seen in the perfect life of Jesus Christ our Lord and his blood of covenant given for our Justification entoto.

Mat_5:13 Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men. Tasty or not, you will be persecuted for being a student of Christ and His Law.

3. Light?

If this point has not been made enough in this series, here it is in short as it pertains to our calling in Reflection of the WORD, in calling attention to the Light which shined out of the Darkness and void (in Gen 1) which came by the WORD of God, the Spirit moved upon the water when YHWH’s breath moved them by the voice and Word that said ‘ YHY/יהי AUR אור and there was light. Now you Christians are the light of the World, you are the light of the Cosmos, so let Your light, thats is the WORD of God as seen in the brightness of Jesus Christ, the same Word which gave the Law shine… Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.

Some will say, “That can not be what Christ is teaching here, Faith-filled reasonable service in the heart and mind by the Law of God to show that YHWH is one YHWH both in the person of the Father and in the person of his Word, and that that is the Righteousness we will be persecuted for under the New Covenant… that cant be” , or some will even ignorantly say “That is Heresy!” , Yet in continuation of reading the context of Mathew 5, let it be seen if this is Scriptural definitive Righteousness or if it is true Heresy (remembering that Heresy or Heretick is a Greek word which references a literal choice out side of the will of God, not a deviation from so-called orthodox theology, but a deviation by selection or choice from the Will or Word of God, therefor, in short, it very hard if not impossible to choose to follow the Law of God, which is God’s Word and be a heretic unless one has elected to practice a portion of God’s Law which is prohibited by Law specifically to be practiced! Which would then no longer be a work of the Law, rather it would be Sin against God’s Righteous standards, regardless of how biblical it may seem if it be forbidden.) :

Mat_5:17 Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.

Mat 5:18 For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.

Mat 5:19 Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.

Mat 5:20 For I say unto you, That except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven.

Here is a message needed to be taken to heart in our Reformed Theology: Do you want to be Great in the Kingdom of God under Christ? Do and Teach! Want to be least, that is Kingdom of Christ? Do not do, and do not Teach men to do.

Most christian type theology, regardless of it’s genera has a group or a specific list of laws which are done away in Christ that are ‘ok’ to ‘teach against doing’; the majority of christian sects use an objective reasoning of multiple verses of scripture, particularly from the books called New Testament are used to teach against simple ‘ thou shalt(s) ‘ and ‘ thou shalt not(s) ‘ which GOD plainly called LAW or Torah, which literally means the teachings of God. Irregardless if it is Positive or Negative Law it is True and it is Righteous altogether, More to be desired are they than gold, yea, than much fine gold: sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb (Psa_19:10) ; Never teach men to break ANY commandment of God’s Law, Never if you fear the LORD of Heaven and Earth the Sovereign of the Kingdom.

And even more so, seemingly, to make the point, the example in verse 20 is made to assure context: thy hypocrisy of the Scribes and Pharisees is brought out, yet that righteousness is easily exceeded when we consider yet again that faith and love in the inward parts are the roots of Sanctified Righteousness, all righteousness lacking that Spirit is Vain, it is empty hypocrisy and that obedience which lacks True Faith is not what YHWH has Ever required nor could it be according to his perfect character.

So in evidence towards the fact, let us also consider a portion from:

Mat_7:21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.

Mat 7:22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?

Mat 7:23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

Mat 7:24 Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock:

Mat 7:25 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock.

Mat 7:26 And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand:

Mat 7:27 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it.

So hopefully, regardless of who we are, and who is listening, at this point your heart and mind are open ready to receive the Law of God according to the New Covenant made in Christ’s blood by Faith, which is the Covenant you must commit to to Enter the Kingdom you have seen, to be an upstanding citizen and to obtain inheritance in it these are the terms, again:

Heb 8:10 For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord; I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people:

Heb 8:11 And they shall not teach every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the Lord: for all shall know me, from the least to the greatest.

Heb 8:12 For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more.

And to this quote of the original contained in Jer_31:33-38 the Apostle adds before his quote:

Heb_8:7 For if that first covenant had been faultless, then should no place have been sought for the second.

Heb 8:8 For finding fault with them, he saith, Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah:

Heb 8:9 Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day when I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt; because they continued not in my covenant, and I regarded them not, saith the Lord.

And here after this quote of Jeremiah I Hebrews, the interpretation is given:

Heb_8:13 In that he saith, A new, he hath made the first old.

Now that which decayeth and waxeth old is ready to vanish away.

We are going to continue in the language hear meant, which is with in the context of the Covenant it self but is also taught and substantiated by the total testimony of Scripture in it’s meaning.

What is Old? What is ready to vanish away by the Blood of Christ which has confirmed the New Covenant for us? The answer is plain, UNDERSTAND ME, it is not the Mosaic covenant which is truly the Word of God revealed from heaven to earth by the spirit of God which is the person of Jesus Christ, it is not the Atonement found in the Sacrificial system where by the Blood of Christ is revealed to us: the Old covenant which is ready to decay and vanish away is the weakness of the flesh specifically stated by the author of Hebrews, the part of the covenant failed by sinful flesh, Paul says in Romans 10, “because they sought it not by Faith”, Hebrews says because they continued not in my covenant I regarded them not, or literally because they adhered not to my covenant, this is descriptive of the law of sin and death defined by the law of God: sin, trespass and iniquity all lawlessness, that is what I (you, we) need to decay and wax old and have vanish away in our life in Christ more and more and more as we see the day approaching, which means in that day when we say LORD LORD we will not hear ‘ …I never knew you: depart from me, ye that worked against Law…” I do not pretend to know what it means to be least in the Kingdom, not do I pretend to know where the least parts of Heaven and Earth are but I do not wish to be there.

Could it fit any more plainly into to Eternality of God and his perfect nature and essence whose purity and holiness is beyond all comprehension of human sanctification? Yet by His Law we know him, and by the perfection revealed in his Son according to his Law He is Known as the word of God:

Rom_8:2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.

Rom 8:3 For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh:

Rom 8:4 That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

Rom 8:5 For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit.

Rom 8:6 For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.

Rom 8:7 Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.

Rom 8:8 So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.

Rom 8:9 But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.

About JS Lowther

Foremost I know that I am a chief sinner saved by Grace. I am a servant of YHWH Almighty the one true God Who is Father, Son and Spirit. I believe in God's only begotten and perfect Son Jesu(s) Christ whose redemption power of my soul I have Faith in and testify of. Having been redeemed by the blood of Christ, I wish to no longer spend my time in the lusts of the flesh and of this world, but to promote the Gospel of the Kingdom by means of the knowledge of the New Covenant, a reNewal of the Covenant God made with his people Israel in the blood of Christ (Jer 31:31 and Heb 8:8) whereby He writes His Law upon the Heart and Mind beside the forgiveness of sin and transgressions. I believe Christ Jesus is the incarnate Son of God as the WORD made flesh, and the son of man born of the virgin Mary conceived of the Holy Spirit: I believe Christ Jesus Lived a perfect life for us as a living sacrifice as well as a pattern of the Sanctified newness of life a believer has in Him, I believe Christ Jesus died a cursed death on the Cross for His people of Covenant who are sinners, and I believe in Christ Jesus who Resurrected with power from Death from the grave to Justify the offenders. This is the same Jesus who is indeed the Son of David and king of Israel, who is both LORD and Christ over all the kings and dominions of the earth! In the fullness of time YHWH will regather his people under the Head of the Church, Jesu(s) Christ to affect his will according to the Lord's prayer, Psalm 2, 8 and 110 as well as Genesis 1:26. The focus of my administration of the Gospel is like unto my Lord's who said "I have come not but for the lost sheep of the house of Israel.."(Mathew 15:24), and so I have come to my European kinsman according to the flesh. It is my mission to show the Israel of God the Salvation which is taught by Scripture Alone and offered in all ages by Grace Alone through Faith Alone in the work of Christ Alone to the Glory of GOD Alone. As a modern day Puritan separatist it is my goal to purify the church of Christ with Faith heretofore stated. I am studying to show my self approved, if you have any questions just ask!
