True Reformation:

The Reforming of the Church according to Scripture

Part 11

Law in Their Inward Parts

Let us consider again the Blessed state the Israel of God finds them selves in when they are walking in Grace by Faith unto Sanctification, that which happens when we see the Kingdom, are entered into it, and it fills our being with the subservience to the Only Wise God, YHWH, as revealed by His Word:

Lev_26:3 If ye walk in my statutes, and keep my commandments, and do them;

Lev 26:4 Then I will give you rain in due season, and the land shall yield her increase, and the trees of the field shall yield their fruit.

Lev 26:5 And your threshing shall reach unto the vintage, and the vintage shall reach unto the sowing time: and ye shall eat your bread to the full, and dwell in your land safely.

Lev 26:6 And I will give peace in the land, and ye shall lie down, and none shall make you afraid: and I will rid evil beasts out of the land, neither shall the sword go through your land.

Lev 26:7 And ye shall chase your enemies, and they shall fall before you by the sword.

Lev 26:8 And five of you shall chase an hundred, and an hundred of you shall put ten thousand to flight: and your enemies shall fall before you by the sword.

Lev 26:9 For I will have respect unto you, and make you fruitful, and multiply you, and establish my covenant with you.

Lev 26:10 And ye shall eat old store, and bring forth the old because of the new.

Lev 26:11 And I will set my tabernacle among you: and my soul shall not abhor you.

Lev 26:12 And I will walk among you, and will be your God, and ye shall be my people.

Lev_26:13 I am the LORD your God, which brought you forth out of the land of Egypt, that ye should not be their bondmen; and I have broken the bands of your yoke, and made you go upright.

This is the overtone of what the Kingdom is upon earth, notice how it’s tone is set by the Respect YHWH GOD’s Covenant people Israel has towards God and thus how He responds in respect to that attitude which is existing present within his people. It is often times missed or argued against that the Law of Moses, which is in Fact the Law of YHWH God is the Kingdom of God or the Kingdom of Heaven’s Law, the testimony of Scripture bears witness that the Law was communicated from heaven.

Deu_4:36 Out of heaven he made thee to hear his voice, that he might instruct thee: and upon earth he shewed thee his great fire; and thou heardest his words out of the midst of the fire.

Again the culmination of the Dominion of Heaven and Earth is referenced is YHWH’s Great power conferred upon the Son of Man Jesu(s) Christ visited or selected as the first born Son of God. When we See the Kingdom by Faith, and we are born by Water and Spirit we have acknowledged the Kingdom Dominion of Christ and His Eternal Kingdom. We often for get the binding links between the King, his kingdom, and his Word as Law especially as it pertains to the lives of those who wish to be Citizens of that Kingdom. I think the summarizing statement made by some anonymous Christian of time past, in speaking of this subject used a phrase we still hear to day to discribe this relationship as we’ve seen in our Reform Theology thus far, that is ‘having Jesus in your heart’, some say ‘excepting Jesus into your heart’ (perhaps it is drawn from combining Joh_14:21 and Rev_3:20 and imposing the heart concept.) So perhaps at one time this concept had biblical merits, yet today it is the poster child of ready mix salvation in a verbalized name containing not evidence to the fact, or as Isaiah and Christ both said…this people draw near me with their mouth, and with their lips do honour me, but have removed their heart far from me… Yet in reality of the Kingdom Seen and Entered, he that Loves Christ the King and YHWH the Father, having the King Jesus Christ in the Heart’ will resemble a life subserviant to the institutes of the New Covenant, easily seen in Joh_14:21 He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him. And that in this way indeed when Christ comes unto us ant the inward parts of a man is affected, we hear:

Rev_3:19 As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent.

Rev 3:20 Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.

Rev 3:21 To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne.

Yet the message is consistent in the thrown of Christ, and that which is WithIn is Resident in our hearts as we Reside in His Love, this Love is imbued in the Heart mind and soul, called the inward parts of a man.

In our last message in focusing upon the teachings of our Lord which show aspects of Entering into the Kingdom of God from Luke 17 and 18, both showing how easy it is for one who loves the Kingdom they have seen and the Power of the LORD and His Christ, being then born of the Spirit and by Obedience they are cleansed by the Water of Baptism to Enter before that Mighty King of Heaven and Earth and Submit to his WORD whereby the Cosmos and Eons of this World are framed, and thereby be we as yielded as his servant and subject bow our knee and we swear allegiance to the Name of Jesus Christ to the Glory of the Father, we do all this being born in the Spirit of Love the Spirit Truth which we now hold within our selves. The Kingdom which we saw, and the Kingdom of God which we are entering into by Water first and in continuation of the Spirit has an Internal elements which is in Fact only our selves and the Lord knows of, all of which have been covered thus far but now that we have shown the lesson for our Seeing and Entrance and have further understood that we must remember where the focus of the kingdom is, being within, so it is building off of this foundation which we continue.

When we consider the Law and Prophets, as we reconsider the lesson which was taught by Christ in Luk_17:20-21 …The kingdom of God cometh not with observation: Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you.

The lesson of the Kingdom with in was not, however, a new concept. Rather in the nature of Reformation as which is spoken of in Lev_26:23 and 18, it is to Correct and turn the child of God back to the place of proper walking. In the case of true reform which does not only deal with the flesh, but with the spirit of a man as well, by this when we speak of Seeing the Kingdom as seen in Joh_3:3, Christ is speaking of both the inspection an the reflection of the heart and mind, in the nature of the Idea presented to the mind. I had gone to great lengths to show that the totality of the decision to Enter the Kingdom is in Fact in te recognition of the Sovereignty of the Ancient of Days, YHWH the Father and His Anointed / christened Word in the person of the Son of God descended upon the Earth and the Son of Man which has ascended to the heavens and has received his dominion, an everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and his kingdom that which shall not be destroyed; that is that all things in heaven and Earth have been fittingly given to the only person of duel nature. That is the Seeing which must be seen to recognize the Grace and Faith needed to effect proper Sanctification of the flesh and Spirit, yet it was the affect upon the total soul of a person YHWH God was looking for since Eden, not simply the out ward show, but Faith which works by love witnessed in the manifestation of Christ as our example of perfection, He is a King which who was not in need of writing the law to be King (Deu_17:18) , insomuch as he was the Words of the law made flesh, that is not to say in his flesh he may have not written the law down, but that the greater reality is that of his Eternal person. So it is that since the Codified Law of Moses for the Israel of God we have heard:

Deu_4:39 Know therefore this day, and consider it in thine heart, that the LORD he is God in heaven above, and upon the earth beneath: there is none else.

And before moving on to the next verse considered a statement I had prior made in partially quoting:

Gal_3:12 …the law is not of faith: but, The man that doeth them shall live in them.

As I have no desire to establish any one in the Law for any form of Justification, but I do assert the Establishment by Faith, an Allegiance to the The Lord GOD, and upon that Kingdom allegiance we live in his ways, not for the Law’s sake, for the law works wrath, but for Faith’s sake being redeemed by Grace, which is the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus which makes us free from the law of sin and death (Rom_8:2).

This Fact is so pressing when Consider just the context of Lev_18:5, which Paul is quoting in the second part of his lesson, the laws which he is specifically saying are NOT of Faith are forbidding: incest, adultery, fornication, bestiality, and homo-sex, which as the ABP Translation says “by which observing them a man shall live by them. I am the lord your God.”.

The point I am wishing to make is the establishment of Faith in the King of kings will by default establish Kingdom Law which will direct the way a man walks and lives by Faith, and when a Land is established by people who have the Kingdom Within the Law of that people and Land will be the Law of God, and by Faith we will Trust that it is the perfect will of God for a Nation, on earth as it is in heaven, and the Nation’s soul, and general well being even for those who are with out Saving Faith due to the Divine nature of the Word of God will transform that nation, land or family. Yet it is by the Faithful who

Know and consider it in their heart (WITHIN), that the LORD he is God in heaven above, and upon the earth beneath: there is none else.

Which continues in

Deu_4:40 Thou shalt keep therefore his statutes, and his commandments, which I command thee this day, that it may go well with thee, and with thy children after thee, and that thou mayest prolong thy days upon the earth, which the LORD thy God giveth thee, for ever.

For the Reformed Christian this is covenanted plainly by the holy spirit upon our inward parts by the New Covenant of Christs blood:

Jer_31:33 But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the YHWH, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people.

As pointed out time and again, the New Covenant is the Testament made in Christ’s blood by his crucifixion death, and confirmed by his open tomb resurrection. The Word which uttered every Word of God’s Law and every revelation of the prophets and Apostles was killed by wicked hands. The Son of God who has descended to the earth, yet by the power and glory of the Father the bands of death could not hold Him and He was raised the Son of Man and ascended to receive that dominion at the right hand of as the fathers numbered first born. Thus, the Word is a confirmed Word by the resurrection of Jesus Christ, the Law is a confirmed Law by the resurrection of Jesus Christ and the Gospel must contain the total Word of God in the Eternal resurrected form; is it then any wonder that the Law of God was to be written on our inward parts of God’s people of Covenant? Yet the majority calling them selves by the Name of Christ in our day have abandon the Perfect Law of Liberty as the Law of the Kingdom within and by either ignorance or willful conduct they have abandoned the work of the New Covenant esteeming it not powerful enough to teach them inwardly to know the Lord by His Law and His Forgiveness by Grace.

Consider this emboldening yet frightening lesson from:

Heb_10:22 Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water.

Heb 10:23 Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;)

Heb 10:24 And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works:

Heb 10:25 Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.

Heb 10:26 For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins,

Heb 10:27 But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries.

Heb 10:28 He that despised Moses’ law died without mercy under two or three witnesses:

Heb 10:29 Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace?

Heb 10:30 For we know him that hath said, Vengeance belongeth unto me, I will recompense, saith the Lord. And again, The Lord shall judge his people.

Heb 10:31 It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.

So what is it that God requires of us?

And now, Israel, what doth the LORD thy God require of us?..to fear the LORD thy God, to walk in all his ways, and to love him, and to serve the LORD thy God with all thy heart and with all thy soul, To keep the commandments of the LORD, and his statutes, which I command thee this day for thy good. Deu_10:12

To Fear him , to walk with him, to love him and to serve him from the heart and soul, it’s a lesson which was since the Garden when Adam turned and hid himself from YHWH, naked and ashamed before his maker who came And they heard the voice of the LORD God walking in the garden in the cool of the day. Gen_3:8

We may look upon this and identify it as the first Turn in need of Correction for Adam’s walk just as Lev 26:12 expressly tells us: And I will walk among you, and will be your God, and ye shall be my people. and beyond it is a corresponding walk beside and with God he is correcting back to in establishing his kingdom with us.

So in closing this discussion down let us look at the many places the Kingdom of God as represented by His Law is commanded to be WithIn the heart, mind, inward parts, soul and even in our mouth at times, yet that Kingdom Law written WithIn by the inspiration of the Holy Spirit yields our bodies as living sacrifices Holy and acceptable, our reasonable service by the Logic of YHWH’s Logos, the mind of Christ reforming our mind to bear the image of the Son of God, the Word made flesh. Every thing we will hereafter See is by the message of the Gospel the Words of Christ, the Law of Life in Christ, and not only those but all things written in the Law and the Prophets intended for our True Reformation to Sanctify our life, yet all of it starts WithIn:

Lev_19:17-18 Thou shalt not hate thy brother in thine heart: thou shalt in any wise rebuke thy neighbour, and not suffer sin upon him. Thou shalt not avenge, nor bear any grudge against the children of thy people, but thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself: I am the LORD.

Deu_4:29 But if from thence thou shalt seek the LORD thy God, thou shalt find him, if thou seek him with all thy heart and with all thy soul.

Deu_5:29 O that there were such an heart in them, that they would fear me, and keep all my commandments always, that it might be well with them, and with their children for ever!

Deu 6:4 Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God is one LORD:

Deu 6:5 And thou shalt love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might.

Deu 6:6 And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be in thine heart:

Deu 6:7 And thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children, and shalt

Deu_8:2 And thou shalt remember all the way which the LORD thy God led thee these forty years in the wilderness, to humble thee, and to prove thee, to know what was in thine heart, whether thou wouldest keep his commandments, or no.

Deu 8:3 And he humbled thee, and suffered thee to hunger, and fed thee with manna, which thou knewest not, neither did thy fathers know; that he might make thee know that man doth not live by bread only, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of the LORD doth man live.

Deu 8:4 Thy raiment waxed not old upon thee, neither did thy foot swell, these forty years.

Deu 8:5 Thou shalt also consider in thine heart, that, as a man chasteneth his son, so the LORD thy God chasteneth thee.

Deu_11:18 Therefore shall ye lay up these my words in your heart and in your soul, and bind them for a sign upon your hand, that they may be as frontlets between your eyes.

Deu_26:16 This day the LORD thy God hath commanded thee to do these statutes and judgments: thou shalt therefore keep and do them with all thine heart, and with all thy soul.

Deu_30:10 If thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to keep his commandments and his statutes which are written in this book of the law, and if thou turn unto the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul.

Deu 30:14 But the word is very nigh unto thee, in thy mouth, and in thy heart, that thou mayest do it.

In so in considering this subject multiple examples are seen by the converse situation of ones heart, mind, soul or inward parts which are not conformed and transformed, such as:

Lev_19:17-18 Thou shalt not hate thy brother in thine heart: thou shalt in any wise rebuke thy neighbour, and not suffer sin upon him. Thou shalt not avenge, nor bear any grudge against the children of thy people, but thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself: I am the LORD.

Deu_8:14 Then thine heart be lifted up, and thou forget the LORD thy God, which brought thee forth out of the land of Egypt, from the house of bondage;

Deu 8:17 And thou say in thine heart, My power and the might of mine hand hath gotten me this wealth.

Deu 8:18 But thou shalt remember the LORD thy God: for it is he that giveth thee power to get wealth, that he may establish his covenant which he sware unto thy fathers, as it is this day.

Deu 8:19 And it shall be, if thou do at all forget the LORD thy God, and walk after other gods, and serve them, and worship them, I testify against you this day that ye shall surely perish.

So we have both internal conditions which lead to an out ward walk: And in may ways it could best be said, regardless of if we do so by love or if we do so in Damnation, YHWH will be feared, the place which is the Beginning of Wisdom, knowledge, instruction which is to be a treasure will not be recognized until the Sovereign Lord of all Eternity dispenses Judgment unto condemnation, yet for those who desire the ways of God and his walk, they will consider their heart counter wise in the conclusion of the whole matter:

Fear God, and keep his commandments:

for this is the whole duty of man.

For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing,

whether it be good, or whether it be evil.

(Ecc_12:13-14)

About JS Lowther

Foremost I know that I am a chief sinner saved by Grace. I am a servant of YHWH Almighty the one true God Who is Father, Son and Spirit. I believe in God's only begotten and perfect Son Jesu(s) Christ whose redemption power of my soul I have Faith in and testify of. Having been redeemed by the blood of Christ, I wish to no longer spend my time in the lusts of the flesh and of this world, but to promote the Gospel of the Kingdom by means of the knowledge of the New Covenant, a reNewal of the Covenant God made with his people Israel in the blood of Christ (Jer 31:31 and Heb 8:8) whereby He writes His Law upon the Heart and Mind beside the forgiveness of sin and transgressions. I believe Christ Jesus is the incarnate Son of God as the WORD made flesh, and the son of man born of the virgin Mary conceived of the Holy Spirit: I believe Christ Jesus Lived a perfect life for us as a living sacrifice as well as a pattern of the Sanctified newness of life a believer has in Him, I believe Christ Jesus died a cursed death on the Cross for His people of Covenant who are sinners, and I believe in Christ Jesus who Resurrected with power from Death from the grave to Justify the offenders. This is the same Jesus who is indeed the Son of David and king of Israel, who is both LORD and Christ over all the kings and dominions of the earth! In the fullness of time YHWH will regather his people under the Head of the Church, Jesu(s) Christ to affect his will according to the Lord's prayer, Psalm 2, 8 and 110 as well as Genesis 1:26. The focus of my administration of the Gospel is like unto my Lord's who said "I have come not but for the lost sheep of the house of Israel.."(Mathew 15:24), and so I have come to my European kinsman according to the flesh. It is my mission to show the Israel of God the Salvation which is taught by Scripture Alone and offered in all ages by Grace Alone through Faith Alone in the work of Christ Alone to the Glory of GOD Alone. As a modern day Puritan separatist it is my goal to purify the church of Christ with Faith heretofore stated. I am studying to show my self approved, if you have any questions just ask!
