Why Do WE Keep the Feasts?

Part 2 

BECAUSE OF THE NEW COVENANT

So here we are on the 8th day of the 7th month, we will have one day hereafter of work and preparation and then we shall fast on the 9th day at evening throughout the 10th day in observation of the Lawful day of the atonement called in Hebrew YUM EhKiPRIM. This message will reflect the Reformed Christian perspective of the literal observation of this feast, yet it will as well transpose it’s lesson onto all feasts as commanded by He That Is The LORD GOD in his Law as we may attend to it by the lights of Heaven, which is the Natural witness that manifests to us the will of God as it concerns his worship. These feasts are particularly out lined in the book of Lev_23:1 and begin with
Lev 23:1 And Jehovah speaketh unto Moses, saying,
Lev 23:2 ‘Speak unto the sons of Israel, and thou hast said unto them, Appointed seasons of Jehovah, which ye proclaim, holy convocations, are these: they are My appointed seasons:
Lev 23:3 six days is work done, and in the seventh day is a sabbath of rest, a holy convocation; ye do no work; it is a sabbath to Jehovah in all your dwellings.
Lev 23:4 ‘These are appointed seasons of Jehovah, holy convocations, which ye proclaim in their appointed seasons:

Thereafter they are codified into the National worship of the people of Israel, that is those who are the descendants of Adam, via Noah, via Abraham via Jacob and which belong to his 12 sons, who because the vast multitude of Christians we have today, to which the Apostle James whose true name was in fact Jacob and who was the brother of our lord wrote saying:
Jam_1:1 James, a servant of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ, to the twelve tribes which are scattered abroad, greeting.
or Paul in Rom 9:1 I say the truth in Christ, I lie not, my conscience also bearing me witness in the Holy Ghost,
Rom 9:2 That I have great heaviness and continual sorrow in my heart.
Rom 9:3 For I could wish that myself were accursed from Christ for my brethren, my kinsmen according to the flesh:
Rom 9:4 Who are Israelites; to whom pertaineth the adoption, and the glory, and the covenants, and the giving of the law, and the service of God, and the promises;
Rom 9:5 Whose are the fathers, and of whom as concerning the flesh Christ came, who is over all, God blessed for ever. Amen.

Thus in the age after the cross which is often and so ignorantly called ‘the New Testament or New Covenant age’ the questions as to the people of Israel are often raised concerning their inheritance in the Lord Jesus as if there were an able question to suggest that the New Testament / Covenant (of which I shall refer to as New Covenant hereafter) should have a disannulling or even a repeal in this so called age.
Though the New Covenant is specifically given to Israel in accordance with the words Paul just spoke concerning the covenants, which would include the New Covenant specifically in:
Jer_31:31 Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah:
Jer 31:32 Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt…
This is what Christ confirms on that same day of the feastival year we call passover, when those fathers of the 12tribes were literally delivered from Egypt as found in
Mat_26:28 For this is my blood of the new testament /covenant, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.
And quoted again in Heb_8:10 For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord; I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people…
after the above points are realized it takes a lot of ignoring to achieve the ignorance needed to not connect the verse the apostles Peter and Paul to Hosea from which they quote from which are specifically about the Salvation of Israel as a people according to this New Covenant because they were scattered among the Gentiles or Nations, yet even that was in accordance with YHWH’s promise to Abraham, that in him would all the Families of the Earth be blessed.
Rom 9:24 Even us, whom he hath called, not of the Jews only, but also of the Gentiles ?
Rom_9:25 As he saith also in Osee / Hosea, I will call them my people, which were not my people; and her beloved, which was not beloved.
Rom 9:26 And it shall come to pass, that in the place where it was said unto them, Ye are not my people; there shall they be called the children of the living God.
Rom 9:27 Isaiah also crieth concerning Israel, Though the number of the children of Israel be as the sand of the sea, a remnant shall be saved:
Rom 9:28 For he will finish the work, and cut it short in righteousness: because a short work will the Lord make upon the earth.
Thus simply in context with Hosea and Jeremiah and Paul and Hebrews and James the Jews of this text are the house of Judah as their name simply indicates, yet also implying the tribes of Levi and Benjamin and the Gentiles which is the Ethnos of the Greek text often translated as Nations in the Greek texts, which is the Nation or Nations named in Hosea and Jeremiah, James and Hebrews the Nation or Nations of the house of scattered Israel.
Thus in the context of Romans 9 as it quotes Hos_1:10-11 Yet the number of the children of Israel shall be as the sand of the sea, which cannot be measured nor numbered; and it shall come to pass, that in the place where it was said unto them, Ye are not my people, there it shall be said unto them, Ye are the sons of the living God. Then shall the children of Judah and the children of Israel be gathered together, and appoint themselves one head, and they shall come up out of the land…

So as the apostle Paul in speaking of the Roman Christians who are often times to the unsuspecting reader and teacher categorized in to the nations out side of the genetic or ethnic people of Israel and descendants of those twelve tribes mentioned in Jam_1:1 says:

Rom 10:1 Brethren, my heart’s desire and prayer to God for Israel is, that they might be saved.
Rom 10:2 For I bear them record that they have a zeal of God, but not according to knowledge.
Rom 10:3 For they being ignorant of God’s righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God.
This relating back to the discourse mentioned in Romans 1 and 2 that was the pattern of the fall of Adam, yet is specified as that of the covenant people of the house of Judah and of Israel as seen in the word of God found in the books of the Judges, Chronicles and Kings and all the prophets sent to those people including John the Baptist and Christ that commanded a return to the Law of God as per the primary text the Apostle uses in the following chapter of Rom_10:6-8 which comes from Deu_30:1-4 and speaks specifically of the prior state as …when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened. Rom_1:21 and to conclude it is continued …as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient…Rom_1:28 and in between those statements we find all forms of sin, that is transgressions of God’s law as pre 1Jn_3:4 Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law.
The things listed in Romans 1 and in the Scriptures which those who are Yet this Israel of God is called to the total word of YHWH God as the mechanisms for showing a heart felt sanctification, to repress and be delivered from ignorance from God’s righteousness, this is a call in the heart and mind and soul to the holiness of God as only found in his Word and Law which is incarnate in the man Jesus Christ as the Joh_1:1 word made flesh, and thus by that package of faith which is summarized in the statement of
Rom_10:17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. in reference to that faith we as Christians find in Christ which we except into our heart? No, but we believe it in our heart, that Christ the word came as a man in the likeness of sinful flesh, he condemned sin in the flesh and then that same Word of God DID NOT stay dead in the grave, but he Rose in a renewed life and sits at the right hand of Power as not the only the Word who was from the beginning as he was in the pre-incarnation, nor is he the Word made flesh as the son of man / Adam on this earth, but he is the reconciliation of both natures in the son of man sitting in heaven at the right hand of the father, the ancient of days, who is the Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever. Heb_13:8
And further the text says:
Heb 13:9 Be not carried about with divers and strange doctrines…
Insomuch as Christ is that same word we read onward:
Rom 10:10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
Rom 10:11 For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.
and yet those Roman who were in some way still ignorant to the Salvation which comes by Christ to those 12 tribes of whom Paul says out of the context of Deu_30:1-4 scattering:
Rom_11:13 For I speak to you Gentiles, inasmuch as I am the apostle of the Gentiles, I magnify mine office:
Rom 11:14 If by any means I may provoke to emulation my flesh, and might save some of them.
Rom 11:15 For if the casting away of them be the reconciling of the world, what shall the receiving of them be, but life from the dead?
Thus the Romans of whome Paul are speaking with all other Nations of Gentiles he is speaking to are Pauls brothers, his flesh, his kindred they are the Gentiles of Israel from Hoseah.
Col_1:18 And Christ is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence.

Lev 23:2 Speak to the sons of Israel! And you shall say to them, The holiday feasts of the LORD which you shall callG2564 them [convocations G2822 holy] –G39 these are my holiday feasts.

G2564καλέω-kaleō
Akin to the base of G2753; to “call” (properly aloud, but used in a variety of applications, directly or otherwise): – bid, call (forth), (whose, whose sur-) name (was [called]).

G2822κλητός-klētos
From the same as G2821; invited, that is, appointed, or (specifically) a saint: – called.

Both are from a primary word κέλλω kellō (to urge on); “hail”; to incite by word, that is, order: – bid, (at, give) command (-ment).

SO, to what feasts/ holidays is the New Testament / Covenant Church called as the Israel of God?
