Lev_23:23 And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,

Lev 23:24 Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, In the seventh month, in the first day of the month, shall ye have a sabbath, a memorial of blowing of trumpets, an holy convocation.

Many folks, including my self at one time, objected to the observation of the New Moon as part of the feastivals of YHWH, one of the chief objections that is found among those who object to a Heavenly sabbath using the lights of Heaven primarily the moon for the appointing of Sabbath’s as well as other feasts according to Lev 23 is that “If the new moon were a feastival that is regularly adjoined to the Last sabbath of every Month according to the lunar sabbath reckoning, why would God have need to direct the people to keep the Feast of Trumpets as a sabbath of Holy Convocation, especially when you say that is a regular part of every month lead by the New Moon?”

To this I offer the answer that is able to be ascertained by a surface and deep comprehension of the Law of YHWH, either by study of the KJV, the LXX, or the Hebrew Scriptures provide a holistic understanding of the treatment of every new moon as the head or beginning of the month, and the memorial to be had in the treatment of the 7th New Moon, called YoM ThRUOEh as the example for the New Moon of every month, yet with this New Moon special emphasis was to be had upon the sound of the calling of the assembly.

From H7321; clamor, that is, acclamation of joy or a battle cry; especially clangor of trumpets, as an alarum: – alarm, blow

^{The Idea found in this Feastival is not specified on the trumpet as our mind considers in the English version but rather upon the sound, the same word is used in Hebrew in} 1Sa 4:5 And when the ark of the covenant of the LORD came into the camp, all Israel shouted RUO with a great shout / ThRUOEh, so that the earth rang again.

Hear we see the word used in it’s correct verbal sense.

Thus when we understand the feast of the blowing of the trumpet I like to refer to it as the feast of trumps, as the focus is upon the sound made not upon the noun or object which makes the sound, nevertheless, a trumpet does, as the word indicated make a trump…We can trump with a trumpet, but we may also trump with our mouths if needs be, trumpets should be a time of praise, a time of shouting, to YHWH indeed.

Yet due to our holistic understanding of the Calendar of YHWH we must consider the context of the Law as it pertains to what surrounds this celibration as a memorial.

The word ZKRUN can be easily seen in this scripture:

Exo 17:14 And the LORD said unto Moses, Write this for a memorial in a book, and rehearse it in the ears of Joshua: for I will utterly put out the remembrance of Amalek from under heaven…Because the LORD will have war with Amalek from generation to generation.

Here we see the substance and the purpose of the memorial, in this case it is a book or record made in the Law for Israel to remember this fact of genealogical war, as a warning and as a reminder.

The Idea of the Memorial on the feast of trumps is much to the same point: Let us go to

Num 10:1 And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,

Num_10:2 Make thee two trumpets HeZREh) of silver; of a whole piece shalt thou make them: that thou mayest use them for the calling of the assembly, and for the journeying of the camps.

Num 10:3 And when they shall blow (ThaQO) with them, all the assembly shall assemble themselves to thee at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation.

Num 10:4 And if they blow but with once, then the princes, which are heads of the thousands of Israel, shall gather themselves unto thee.

Num 10:5 When ye blow an alarm (ThRUOEh) , then the camps that lie on the east parts shall go forward.

Num 10:6 When ye blow an alarm (ThRUOEh) the second time, then the camps that lie on the south side shall take their journey: they shall blow an alarm for their journeys.

Num_10:7 But when the congregation is to be gathered together, ye shall blow, but ye shall not sound an alarm (ThRYO) תריע.

Num 10:8 And the sons of Aaron, the priests, shall blow with the trumpets; and they shall be to you for an ordinance for ever throughout your generations.

Num 10:9 And if ye go to war in your land against the enemy that oppresseth you, then ye shall blow an alarm with the trumpets; and ye shall be remembered (ZiKaR) before the LORD your God, and ye shall be saved from your enemies.

Num_10:10 Also in the day of your gladness, and in your solemn days, and in the beginnings of your months, ye shall blow (ThaQOThiM-Plural blows) with the trumpets (HeZaR) over your burnt offerings, and over the sacrifices of your peace offerings; that they may be to you for a memorial (ZiKRUN) before your God: I am the LORD your God.

LXX- Num 10:10 And in the days of your gladness, and in your feasts, and in your new moons, ye shall sound with the trumpets

Psa_81:3 Blow up the trumpet in the new moon, in the time appointed, on our solemn feast day.

Psa 81:4 For this was a statute for Israel, and a law of the God of Jacob.

By context the Trump or alarm made by the Trumpet usures Israel to Gather together either to war or to worship every event however is to gather the assembly.

Exo 32:17 And when Joshua heard the noise of the people as they shouted, he said unto Moses, There is a noise of war in the camp.

Exo 32:18 And he said, It is not the voice of them that shout for mastery, neither is it the voice of them that cry for being overcome: but the noise of them that sing do I hear.

As many of us know, the assembly and worship of YHWH often times

Is Spiritual warefar against the darkness and evil of this world, in our lives, families, homes and Nation. I am sure to believe that this commonality of the Trump of assembly is meant to be understood by Christians, and understanding to often forgotten about in our present evil day:

1Co 14:7 And even things without life giving sound, whether pipe or harp, except they give a distinction in the sounds, how shall it be known what is piped or harped?

1Co 14:8 For if the trumpet give an uncertain sound, who shall prepare himself to the battle?

The comming of Christ in to our life is no different to some they hear gladness and to others the sound of war: Just as Moses and Joshua after recieving the law both heard the same sound and distinguished it differently:

1Th_5:2 For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night.

1Th 5:3 For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape.

1Th 5:4 But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief.

1Th 5:5 Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness.

1Th 5:6 Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober.

1Th 5:7 For they that sleep sleep in the night; and they that be drunken are drunken in the night.

1Th 5:8 But let us, who are of the day, be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love; and for an helmet, the hope of salvation.

1Th 5:9 For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ,

1Th 5:10 Who died for us, that, whether we wake or sleep, we should live together with him.
