pt.7 What Mean These Testimonies?

Part 7 of a New Series: “Principally Regulated by the Scripture”:

“What Mean These Testimonies?

This study will be a doctrinal subject study with a focus on understanding why the Sabbath, New Moons and Feast days are the perfect pattern for congregational worship in Holy Convocation to teach children in faithful home the message of the Cross of Jesus Christ.

This series answers objections to why the Sabbath’s, New Moons and Holy Day are in accordance with Hebrew 4:9 and 10:23-25 as well as Galatians 4:10, and are in fact those good works of worship that have been before ordained in Gen 1:14, Gen 2:4, Exo 20:8, Exo 31:13,  Deut 5:12, Num 10:10, Ezk 46:1, Num 28&29 Lev 23,  Lk 4:16.

Part 7

What Mean These Testimonies?

(Delivered on 13-29- (2020)

2Ti_3:12-17
Our Father we know by thy word :
All that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.
Therefore make us strong.
Let us not be deceived by evil men and seducers

which wax worse and worse, being deceived them selves.

Continue us in the things which we have learned of and have been assured of by thee:
Though we may have from a child known the holy scriptures,
allow them to make us wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.

Profit unto us All thy scripture given by thy inspiration:
for our doctrine, for our reproof, for our correction, for our instruction in righteousness:
That we may be the men and women of God perfectly & thoroughly furnished unto all good works.
Amen

Gal_4:1  Now I say, That the heir, as long as he is a child, differeth nothing from a servant, though he be lord of all;
Gal 4:2  But is under tutors and governors until the time appointed of the father.
Gal 4:3  Even so we, when we were children, were in bondage under the elements of the world:
Gal 4:4  But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law,
Gal 4:5  To redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons.
Gal 4:6  And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father.
Gal 4:7  Wherefore thou art no more a servant, but a son; and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ.
Gal 4:8  Howbeit then, when ye knew not God, ye did service unto them which by nature are no gods.
Gal 4:9  But now, after that ye have known God, or rather are known of God, how turn ye again to the weak and beggarly elements, whereunto ye desire again to be in bondage?

Gal 4:10  Ye observe days, and months, and times, and years.
Gal 4:11  I am afraid of you, lest I have bestowed upon you labour in vain.

1. We as children of God are yet treated in training and education no differently than a servant

2. As servants we are to learn from the law of God, which is the word of God which therefore is an extention of our lord Jesus Christ, so we are to learn the faith in Christ from the pre incarnate christ: the word and law of God

3. The word of God in its several sense as the words of God in the law and the Gospel therefor is among our tutors and governors to which we are to go while under the schooling of this world.

4. The elements / rudiments of this world are very much a reality for all flesh, and man by his flesh nature is bound to those elements or rudiments created by the word of God, that is by spoken decrees of Law.

5. While we maybe Spiritual children of God’s and therefore heirs, in the flesh we are servants nonetheless, we are faulted, failed and weakened by our flesh that is right, but we must remember God hath placed us in the flesh to learn from the spirit by the work of the Gospel, by the grace of God through Jesus christ our lord.

6. Therefore we are not bound to the flesh to live after the flesh, but we are bound to live after the Spirit, a spirit which cries Abba father, a Spirit that knows, believes and understands God’s Law is Spiritual, and that to live after the Spirit and walk in the Spirit is an attempt in this failed body to live after the manners and customs of the Law of God, as are comport to us by the the Work of the Holy Spirt.

7. Therefore we go to the inspired (God Breathed) Law of God for “doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That we may be the men and women of God completely equipped unto all good works.

And so in do this and following such a line of reasonable service we had for the past several weeks been considering congregational worship, and specifically our congregational worship, and as I had pointed out, after having the grace of God imparted to us in knowledge of the first 3 commandments of the 10 as collective individuals, we then see the Sabbath day as among the first external observances, internally “amen-ed” in our spirit, where by we are to unite in worship with others.

He have had the grace of the knowledge of the one true God YHWH imparted to us, where in we accept the commandments of God as rules for worship, therefore,
We have prohibitions of worship:
1.No other god but YHWH,

2.No Idols, or graven images no imaginations of our own making or of another man’s making that we bow to;

3. then we have the prohibition of not personally taking the Name of YHWH in vain or worshiping in an empty way.

The 3rd commandment which in very essence is to take the Name YHWH which means and expresses the eternal, the almighty, the omniscient, the seer of the thoughts and intents of the heart and mind and to claim that God in thoughts or mouth or life and yet in fact you do not believe YHWH is full of that eternal, almighty, omniscient in fact.
These are prohibitions on how to not worship.

And it is here we establish the 4th Commandment,  that YHWH GOD commands worship in the beauty of holiness which in time is expressed by the 4th commandment:
4. Remembering the Sabbath days and keeping them holy.

The weekly sabbath after 6 days labor is a feast of YHWH, and is a sign of YHWH therefore it answers to the voice in the heavens as appointed by the moon. (Gen 1:14, Gen 2, Ex 20:8, Ex 31:13, Lev 23:1-4, Psa_104:19, Ezk 46:1)
This is the basis for why we believe as we do about the relationship and conjunction of the New Moon as appointing sabbaths, and we see the New Moon as part of the ordained and holy order of Sabbatic Worship, this system of sabbath worship also forms the foundation of annual worship as well.

Last Sabbath we ended in reading about the Feasts or appointed seasons of YHWH, I had established the way in which Ezekiel 46:1 helps us see the Sabbath and the New Moon as one consistent order working with each other, and how Israel’s festival system and heavenly cycle of calendar operates upon that principle, all of which is founded upon Gen 1:14.
That Signs seasons, days and years are communicated through the natural revelation of the sun, moon and stars in a collective whole.

Here is what I offered in points:
1. God made the lights of heaven for signs, seasons, days and years
2. God made the sabbath for man according to the lights of heaven
3. God’s lights and God’s sabbaths are witnesses to one system
4. by using the 7 day numbering in conjunction with the lights of heaven 1 system is revealed by Scripture and natural revelation
5. Therefore the God ordained the Sabbath as holy and considered the holiness of the New moon days in that holiness
6. the day of New Moon is spoken of as Holy by the law and Prophets, and at times are synonymous with the sabbath it self
7. By accepting the New moons cycle as part of the sabbath cycle as part of the end and beginning of month’s weekly worship, the weekly sabbath becomes synonymous with the sabbaths of the annual feasts:

  • Passover,
  • Feast of Unleavened Bread,
  • Feast of weeks / Pentecost,
  • Memorial  of Trumpets,
  • Day of Atonements,
  • Feast of Tabernacles.

So here is simply what I am saying, the sabbath is called the first feast of Lev 23 because it is the weekly course of building blocks that establish holy convocations in all our dwellings, a weekly and monthly feast of the LORD YHWH in all of our dwellings, a schedule for weekly and monthly assembly in all of our dwellings that also was the pattern of worship in the temple, and this is the pattern that “yet remaineth for the people of God” (Heb 4:9), being proclaimed by the heavens day unto day and night unto night.

A great and obvious universal truth, able to be observed by any who will look up, fashioned as a faithful witness of YHWH God and His Lordship especial to his people Israel.

I am going to Romans 10 then to a key text that Paul uses from Psalm 19:4 :
Rom_10:13  For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
Rom 10:14  How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?
Rom 10:15  And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!
Rom 10:16  But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Esaias saith, Lord, who hath believed our report?
Rom 10:17  So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
Rom 10:18  But I say, Have they not heard? Yes verily, their sound went into all the earth, and their words unto the ends of the world. (Ps 19:4)

Rom 10:19  But I say, Did not Israel know? First Moses saith, I will provoke you to jealousy by them that are no people, and by a foolish nation I will anger you.
Rom 10:20  But Esaias is very bold, and saith, I was found of them that sought me not; I was made manifest unto them that asked not after me.
Rom 10:21  But to Israel he saith, All day long I have stretched forth my hands unto a disobedient and gainsaying people.

Did you know that of the Covenant people, a nation, a tribe that teaches children who are able to hear the word of Faith, can hear that word and look at the Heavens as Psalm 19:4 speaks of it and Romans 10:18 quotes it, that in this context it is among the first faithful witnesses you have to hear the Gospel of the Lordship and primacy, the kingship and sovereignty of YHWH GOD?
Paul even goes on to quote Isaiah in saying the report of Christ in Isaiah 53 is heard by the witness of the heavens in a primitive way.
Listen to Paul’s context:
Psa_19:1 The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork.
Psa 19:2  Day unto day uttereth speech, and night unto night sheweth knowledge.
Psa 19:3  There is no speech nor language, where their voice is not heard.
Psa 19:4  Their line is gone out through all the earth, and their words to the end of the world. In them hath he set a tabernacle for the sun,
Psa 19:5  Which is as a bridegroom coming out of his chamber, and rejoiceth as a strong man to run a race.
Psa 19:6  His going forth is from the end of the heaven, and his circuit unto the ends of it: and there is nothing hid from the heat thereof.
Psa_19:7  The law of the LORD is perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple.

Paul is speaking of ‘Israel being saved’ and to “Israel he saith, All day long I have stretched forth my hands unto a disobedient and gainsaying people. ” according to the words of Isaiah?

So let me make this statement and move on, Paul says who so ever shall call upon YHWH the LORD shall be saved, Paul confirms that to call upon the LORD one must hear the word of the LORD, and Paul states that this word heard comes by apostolic preaching of the Gospel, Yes, but it is fortified by the glory of the heavens is able to help communicate Faith, and then Paul ties the word of Faith taught by the words spoken in the heavens as a witness, a faithful witness of the message to be preached and that Is
Rom 10:4  For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone who believes.
and
Rom 10:9  That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

Paul’s context operates off of Moses Revelation given of the pattern of heavenly things, that Moses Law, the tabernacle law, the temple Law that operated upon the Heavenly lights arraigned for YHWH God’s Glory in signs, seasons / feasts, days and years is the best most accurate faithful witness of the message of the Gospel.
that is why in verse Romans 10:18 quotes psalm 19:4.

Here is a voice a faithful witness seen in the heavens lights through out the earth and proclaimed in the Law of God.

Those who have the heavens and the Law as a coupled form of worship are one step closer to:

The declaration of the glory of God
his handywork
the uttering of his speech
and the shewing forth of his knowledge

As said, coupled that with The law of YHWH it offers perfection that is able to aid in the,

  • converting of the soul
  • a faithful testimony that is sure,
  • and  making wise the simple.

Where else do we look but to the festivals of Israel appointed by the lights of heaven in fact to combine such knowledge with an emphasis of Christ?

Exo 13:8  And thou shalt shew thy son in that day, saying, This is done because of that which the LORD did unto me when I came forth out of Egypt.
Exo 13:9  And it shall be for a sign unto thee upon thine hand, and for a memorial between thine eyes, that the LORD’S law may be in thy mouth: for with a strong hand hath the LORD brought thee out of Egypt.
Exo 13:10  Thou shalt therefore keep this ordinance in his season from year to year.

We have an answer for our children when we recognize like our Israelite fathers in bondage to Egypt we have a testimony also to give of our deliverance from the bondage of Sin by the mighty hand and out streched arm of YHWH the deliverer and savior. when our children ask us or we proclaim it to them at times of worship by the scripture saying ” This is done because of that which the LORD did unto me…” when he sent His Son Born of a woman, born under the Law to redeem me what bound under the Law that I might be the a son of God!”

We are taught in the Passovers observation by the Lord’s table, in the week of unleavened bread, just my observing the memorials of that day by the Law the actual meaning.

1Co 5:1  It is reported commonly that there is fornication among you, and such fornication as is not so much as named among the Gentiles, that one should have his father’s wife.
1Co 5:2  And ye are puffed up, and have not rather mourned, that he that hath done this deed might be taken away from among you.
1Co 5:3  For I verily, as absent in body, but present in spirit, have judged already, as though I were present, concerning him that hath so done this deed,
1Co 5:4  In the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, when ye are gathered together, and my spirit, with the power of our Lord Jesus Christ,
1Co 5:5  To deliver such an one unto Satan for the destruction of the flesh, that the spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus.
1Co 5:6  Your glorying is not good. Know ye not that a little leaven leaveneth the whole lump?
1Co 5:7  Purge out therefore the old leaven, that ye may be a new lump, as ye are unleavened. For even Christ our passover is sacrificed for us:
1Co 5:8  Therefore let us keep the feast, not with old leaven, neither with the leaven of malice and wickedness; but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.
1Co 5:9  I wrote unto you in an epistle not to company with fornicators:

1Co_5:6-8  of how our own glory in lawless ness, sin…

IS not good. That a little leaven leaveneth the whole lump.
that the type of  Purge(ing) out therefore the old leaven, that we as the body of Christ be a new lump of dough, as we are to be unleavened. Knowing that the type of the lamb which we eat at the Passover table is but a memorial of Christ our passover sacrificed for his elect.

1Co 5:8  Therefore we keep the feast, not with old leaven, neither with the leaven of malice and wickedness; but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.
The observation of the passover in connection to the feast of unleavened bread in our life shows us therefore the necessity of leaving the bondage of sin in haste!

Or do we accept the word of God in murmuring and grumbling?

Listen, you can not even use the lesson Paul used in teaching the Corinthians  how to purge our fornication as we purge out leaven during the feast of unleavened bread, if you do not know how to keep the feast!

If you know your Christ is the end of the Law for Righteousness because you believe in Christ, (Rom_10:4

For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth.

Then turn with me to Deuteronomy 6 and read, and consider another response to be given to our children and the children of Faith as we restore the foundations and ask our selves as ‘righteous’ what have we done?

Deu_6:17  Ye shall diligently keep the commandments of the LORD your God, and his testimonies, and his statutes, which he hath commanded thee.
Deu 6:18  And thou shalt do that which is right and good in the sight of the LORD: that it may be well with thee, and that thou mayest go in and possess the good land which the LORD sware unto thy fathers,
Deu 6:19  To cast out all thine enemies from before thee, as the LORD hath spoken.
Deu 6:20  And when thy son asketh thee in time to come, saying, What mean the testimonies, and the statutes, and the judgments, which the LORD our God hath commanded you?
Deu 6:21  Then thou shalt say unto thy son, We were Pharaoh’s bondmen in Egypt; and the LORD brought us out of Egypt with a mighty hand:
Deu 6:22  And the LORD shewed signs and wonders, great and sore, upon Egypt, upon Pharaoh, and upon all his household, before our eyes:
Deu 6:23  And he brought us out from thence, that he might bring us in, to give us the land which he sware unto our fathers.
Deu 6:24  And the LORD commanded us to do all these statutes, to fear the LORD our God, for our good always, that he might preserve us alive, as it is at this day.
Deu 6:25  And it shall be our righteousness, if we observe to do all these commandments before the LORD our God, as he hath commanded us.

About JS Lowther

Foremost I know that I am a chief sinner saved by Grace. I am a servant of YHWH Almighty the one true God Who is Father, Son and Spirit. I believe in God's only begotten and perfect Son Jesu(s) Christ whose redemption power of my soul I have Faith in and testify of. Having been redeemed by the blood of Christ, I wish to no longer spend my time in the lusts of the flesh and of this world, but to promote the Gospel of the Kingdom by means of the knowledge of the New Covenant, a reNewal of the Covenant God made with his people Israel in the blood of Christ (Jer 31:31 and Heb 8:8) whereby He writes His Law upon the Heart and Mind beside the forgiveness of sin and transgressions. I believe Christ Jesus is the incarnate Son of God as the WORD made flesh, and the son of man born of the virgin Mary conceived of the Holy Spirit: I believe Christ Jesus Lived a perfect life for us as a living sacrifice as well as a pattern of the Sanctified newness of life a believer has in Him, I believe Christ Jesus died a cursed death on the Cross for His people of Covenant who are sinners, and I believe in Christ Jesus who Resurrected with power from Death from the grave to Justify the offenders. This is the same Jesus who is indeed the Son of David and king of Israel, who is both LORD and Christ over all the kings and dominions of the earth! In the fullness of time YHWH will regather his people under the Head of the Church, Jesu(s) Christ to affect his will according to the Lord's prayer, Psalm 2, 8 and 110 as well as Genesis 1:26. The focus of my administration of the Gospel is like unto my Lord's who said "I have come not but for the lost sheep of the house of Israel.."(Mathew 15:24), and so I have come to my European kinsman according to the flesh. It is my mission to show the Israel of God the Salvation which is taught by Scripture Alone and offered in all ages by Grace Alone through Faith Alone in the work of Christ Alone to the Glory of GOD Alone. As a modern day Puritan separatist it is my goal to purify the church of Christ with Faith heretofore stated. I am studying to show my self approved, if you have any questions just ask!
