In understanding the origins of the Holy Spirit and seeing it’s place in the pre-manifestation era, it easily seen how that the Holy Spirit is also referred to as the Spirit of God and the Spirit of the LORD / YHWH, after making such a connection the role of the Spirit is then seen in every aspect of the Scripture and in all portions of Holy writ. So then if the Spirit has been in the world since the time of creation what is the reason for the statement found in John 7:37If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink.

Joh_7:38 He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.

Joh_7:39 (But this spake he of the Spirit, which they that believe on him should receive: for the Holy Ghost was not yet given; because that Jesus was not yet glorified.) ?

What was the reason John had need to mention that “the Holy Ghost was not yet given;

because that Jesus was not yet glorified” ?

Let the Scripture which Christ is quoting help in this aid as the focus opens up upon the function of the Spirit in the Church this aspect will become more obvious:

…out of his belly (heart) shall flow rivers of living water.

Pro_18:4 A word in the heart of a man is a deep water, and a river and fountain of life spring forth. LXX-Brent

KJV Pro 18:4 The words of a man’s mouthH6310 (with in) are as deep waters, and the wellspring of wisdom as a flowing brook.H5158 (river)

By compare of all other scriptures, Proverbs 18:4 is the closest in language and sentiment of language, as well it will neatly dove tail into the holistic purpose of the Spirit yet to be applied to this compilation. For if this scripture is referencing the Spirit given in the book of Acts which Christ did promise, as said by the apostle then the focus of both Prov 18 anthe glorification stated in Luk_24:44-49

24:44 And he said unto them, These are the words which I spake unto you, while I was yet with you, that all things must be fulfilled, which were written in the law of Moses, and in the prophets, and in the psalms, concerning me.

Luk 24:45 Then opened he their understanding, that they might understand the scriptures,

Luk 24:46 And said unto them, Thus it is written, and thus it behoved Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day:

Luk 24:47 And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.

Luk 24:48 And ye are witnesses of these things.

Luk 24:49 And, behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high.

And Power is fully explained in the continuation of the book of Luke we call the book of Acts,

Act_1:5 For John truly baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost not many days hence.

Acts 1:6 When they therefore were come together, they asked of him, saying, Lord, wilt thou at this time restore again the kingdom to Israel?

Acts 1:7 And he said unto them, It is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the Father hath put in his own power.

Acts 1:8 But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

Consider the purpose for this ” Understanding” that is now being opened. It is the fulfilment of all aspects of the funcional work of the Holy Spirit for repentance, truth, wisdom, discipline and understanding.

Consider the context in which our Christ offered the word from Proverbs 18:4 which John expounded for us:

Pro_18:1 Through desire a man, having separated himself, seeketh and intermeddleth with all wisdom.

Pro 18:2 A fool hath no delight in understanding, but that his heart may discover itself.

Pro 18:3 When the wicked cometh, then cometh also contempt, and with ignominy reproach.

Pro_18:4 The words of a man’s mouth are as deep waters, and the wellspring of wisdom as a flowing brook.

Pro 18:5 It is not good to accept the person of the wicked, to overthrow the righteous in judgment.

Pro 18:6 A fool’s lips enter into contention, and his mouth calleth for strokes.

Pro 18:7 A fool’s mouth is his destruction, and his lips are the snare of his soul.

Pro 18:8 The words of a talebearer are as wounds, and they go down into the innermost parts of the belly.

Pro 18:9 He also that is slothful in his work is brother to him that is a great waster.

Pro 18:10 The name of the LORD is a strong tower: the righteous runneth into it, and is safe.

Pro 18:11 The rich man’s wealth is his strong city, and as an high wall in his own conceit.

Pro 18:12 Before destruction the heart of man is haughty, and before honour is humility.

Pro 18:13 He that answereth a matter before he heareth it, it is folly and shame unto him.

Pro 18:14 The spirit of a man will sustain his infirmity; but a wounded spirit who can bear?

This lesson being taught via the context of Proverbs 18 is intended to lead our minds and hearts to intermeddle with the same wisdom being offered by the Holy Spirit, wisdom which is offered in the holistic approach to the fulfilment of Joel in the book of Acts chapter 2.

The Christian Era or post-manifestation era after the resurrection has a special place in the History of Israel and the world as a whole, in that Christ Jesu was the prophesied shepherd that would bring the Gentilized Israel and Judah together under the New Covenant and begin the work of sifting Israel through the nations, a process in which we are observably still in, and as thus God is still awaiting Israel’s Duet 30 repentance via the word of Faith as a collective nation. At this special place in time the Holy Spirit as described in the last section via the Hebrew scriptures as well as in the Wisdom of Solomon and the historical writers of the time of the apostles shows a very Logical, Truthful and Wise Spirit of discipline that should issue from ones interaction with the Spirit, and as thus the reference in John 7:39 is referencing this same manifestations as referred to in the scriptures before Christ, yet lacking the glorification of Christ’s triumph over death and the truth, wisdom and discipline held in this Covenantal revelation.

By this revelation, Christian Israel is able to grasp the first element necessary to establishing the Kingdom of God on earth as it is in Heaven, and that element is REPENTANCE, as seen in Acts 2: the first Judeans and Israelites whom God poured his spirit out on, were those partially responsible for the death of Christ, at that time Spirit came in the Hebrew logic “as a…wind”. Repentance was the first act of the Spirit while the hearing of the Apostles message “every man in his own tough” was the vehicle used by the Spirit, the effect was the focus, and to this answers the same logic as the former scriptures:

Psa 51:9 Hide thy face from my sins, and blot out all mine iniquities.

Psa 51:10 Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.

Psa 51:11 Cast me not away from thy presence; and take not thy holy spirit from me.

Psa 51:12 Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation; and uphold me with thy free spirit.

Psa 51:13 Then will I teach transgressors thy ways; and sinners shall be converted unto thee.

This same spirit is given by the blood of Christ after His glorification, while this scripture shall hold that

Pro 18:4 A word in the heart of a man is a deep water, and a river and fountain of life spring forth.

The apostles saw the Spirit being poured out in their day as the Spirit prophecied in Joel

Joe_2:27 And ye shall know that I am in the midst of Israel, and that I am the LORD your God, and none else: and my people shall never be ashamed.

Joe 2:28 And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions:

Joe 2:29 And also upon the servants and upon the handmaids in those days will I pour out my spirit.

as the fulfillment of Psalm 2 further quoted in quoted in

Act_2:33 Therefore being by the right hand of God exalted, and having received of the Father the promise of the Holy Ghost, he hath shed forth this, which ye now see and hear.

Act_2:34 For David is not ascended into the heavens: but he saith himself, The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand,

Act 2:35 Until I make thy foes thy footstool.

Act 2:36 Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly, that God hath made that same Jesus, whom ye have crucified, both Lord and Christ.

This out pouring was the same Spirit found in the prior mentioned scriptures we read in part 1 this is the Spirit of YHWH which brings about Repentance and the renewed Spirit and accompanies thereafter understanding, wisdom, truth and discipline (discipleship); the Spirit offered to every one who thirsts for the True Dominion of Christ according to Psalm 2, which will give power from on high in the bring about of Christ’s Lordship as the son of God upon Earth and Christ’s kingship for the House of Israel.

Consider why the Apostles chose to quote this Psalm one the day the Spirit was poured out directly after the glorification of Christ:

Psa_2:1 Why do the heathen (Gentiles) rage, and the people imagine a vain thing?

Psa 2:2 The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the LORD, and against his anointed, saying,

Psa 2:3 Let us break their bands asunder, and cast away their cords from us.

Psa 2:4 He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh: the Lord shall have them in derision.

Psa 2:5 Then shall he speak unto them in his wrath, and vex them in his sore displeasure.

Psa 2:6 Yet have I set my king upon my holy hill of Zion.

Psa 2:7 I will declare the decree: the LORD hath said unto me, Thou art my Son; this day have I begotten thee.

Psa 2:8 Ask of me, and I shall give thee the heathen for thine inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the earth for thy possession.

Psa 2:9 Thou shalt break them with a rod of iron; thou shalt dash them in pieces like a potter’s vessel.

Psa 2:10 Be wise now therefore, O ye kings: be instructed, ye judges of the earth.

Psa 2:11 Serve the LORD with fear, and rejoice with trembling.

Psa 2:12 Kiss the Son, lest he be angry, and ye perish from the way, when his wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all they that put their trust in him.

Psa_110:1 A Psalm of David. The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou at my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool. Psa 110:2 The LORD shall send the rod of thy strength out of Zion: rule thou in the midst of thine enemies.

Psa 110:3 Thy people shall be willing in the day of thy power, in the beauties of holiness from the womb of the morning: thou hast the dew of thy youth.

Psa 110:4 The LORD hath sworn, and will not repent, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchizedek.

Psa 110:5 The Lord at thy right hand shall strike through kings in the day of his wrath.

Psa 110:6 He shall judge among the heathen, he shall fill the places with the dead bodies; he shall wound the heads over many countries.

Psa 110:7 He shall drink of the brook in the way: therefore shall he lift up the head.

So starting in Jerusalem after Christ’s glorification a more full revelation of the Spirit is being poured out upon Israel and it’s effects will touch the whole world, the spirit will change the worlds as it has done after the time of Christ and all flesh shall benefit from the promise given to Abraham, that in his one seed Christ will all the families of the earth be blessed. This blessing is realistically preserved in the wisdom, understanding, knowledge of truth that appeared in the time after the Apostles spread out in pursuit of the Gentiles of Europe, perhaps it was by the prophecy of the Spirit that the Judeans asked the question:

Joh_7:35 … Whither will he go, that we shall not find him? will he go unto the dispersed among the Gentiles, and teach the Gentiles? In which our focal statement is found:

If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink. He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.

This was the effect the Spirit was waiting for, to offer that same Spirit of repentance to the Gentilized Israelites of the diaspora as was offered to those Judeans of Acts Chapter 2, and to then after pour our his spirit upon all flesh as it is this day, as we now bask in the affects of the Christian Holy Spirit as a world, as ALL Flesh has the ability to benefit from the Wisdom, Truth and Righteousness that just flowed, due to the beginning sip which Israel took from the wellspring of Christ’s Repentance.

In Acts 2 power from on high was the repentance Spirit prophesied in Joel 2 as the Spirit which was poured out to affect the Psalm 2 Dominion and Lordship of Christ and the administration of this Kingdom Rule to be affected by Christ’s people, his Church/ Ecclesia as Disciples disciplined in the Word of God by the Holy Spirit an the Gifts which it gives unto men once they allow Christ to lead captivity captive.

About JS Lowther

Foremost I know that I am a chief sinner saved by Grace. I am a servant of YHWH Almighty the one true God Who is Father, Son and Spirit. I believe in God's only begotten and perfect Son Jesu(s) Christ whose redemption power of my soul I have Faith in and testify of. Having been redeemed by the blood of Christ, I wish to no longer spend my time in the lusts of the flesh and of this world, but to promote the Gospel of the Kingdom by means of the knowledge of the New Covenant, a reNewal of the Covenant God made with his people Israel in the blood of Christ (Jer 31:31 and Heb 8:8) whereby He writes His Law upon the Heart and Mind beside the forgiveness of sin and transgressions. I believe Christ Jesus is the incarnate Son of God as the WORD made flesh, and the son of man born of the virgin Mary conceived of the Holy Spirit: I believe Christ Jesus Lived a perfect life for us as a living sacrifice as well as a pattern of the Sanctified newness of life a believer has in Him, I believe Christ Jesus died a cursed death on the Cross for His people of Covenant who are sinners, and I believe in Christ Jesus who Resurrected with power from Death from the grave to Justify the offenders. This is the same Jesus who is indeed the Son of David and king of Israel, who is both LORD and Christ over all the kings and dominions of the earth! In the fullness of time YHWH will regather his people under the Head of the Church, Jesu(s) Christ to affect his will according to the Lord's prayer, Psalm 2, 8 and 110 as well as Genesis 1:26. The focus of my administration of the Gospel is like unto my Lord's who said "I have come not but for the lost sheep of the house of Israel.."(Mathew 15:24), and so I have come to my European kinsman according to the flesh. It is my mission to show the Israel of God the Salvation which is taught by Scripture Alone and offered in all ages by Grace Alone through Faith Alone in the work of Christ Alone to the Glory of GOD Alone. As a modern day Puritan separatist it is my goal to purify the church of Christ with Faith heretofore stated. I am studying to show my self approved, if you have any questions just ask!
