An Apostle’s Creed

 

I BELIEVE IN GOD THE FATHER ALMIGHTY;
Maker of heaven and earth.
Πιστεύω εἰς θεòν πατέρα, παντοκράτορα, ποιητὴν οὐρανοῦ καὶ γῆς.

AND IN JESUS CHRIST
His Only-begotten-Son our Lord;
Καὶ (εἰς) Ἰησοῦν Χριστòν, υἱὸν αὐτοῦ τòν μονογενῆ, τòν κύριον ἡμῶν,

Who was conceived by the Holy Spirit,
τòν συλληφθέντα ἐκ πνεύματος ἁγίου,

Born of the Virgin Mary;
γεννηθέντα ἐκ Μαρίας τῆς παρθένου,

Suffered under Pontius Pilate,
παθόντα ἐπὶ Ποντίου Πιλάτου,

Crucified, dead, and buried;
σταυρωθέντα, θανόντα, καὶ ταφέντα,

He descended to beneath;
κατελθόντα εἰς τὰ κατώτατα,

The third day he rose from the dead;
τῇ τρίτῃ ἡμέρᾳ ἀναστάντα ἀπò τῶν νεκρῶν,

He ascended into heaven;
ἀνελθόντα εἰς τοὺς οὐρανούς

Sitteth at the right hand of God the Father Almighty;
καθεζόμενον ἐν δεξιᾷ θεοῦ πατρὸς παντοδυνάμου,

From thence he shall come to judge the quick and the dead.
ἐκεῖθεν ἐρχόμενον κρῖναι ζῶντας καὶ νεκρούς.

I BELIEVE IN THE HOLY SPIRIT;
Πιστεύω εἰς τò πνεῦμα τò ἅγιον

The Holy Called-out Community;
ἁγίαν  ἐκκλησίαν κοινωνίαν,

The forgiveness of sins;
ἄφεσιν ἁμαρτιῶν,

The resurrection of the flesh
σαρκὸς ἀνάστασιν,

and Life everlasting.
ζωὴν αἰώνιον.

While Renewed Covenant Ministry endorses cultural differences from many Theonomic Reformed Churched as would create a difference in our regulative principle of worship, We affirm this Apostle’s Creed as a standard Concerning the basics of the Gospel Message as contained in the work of The Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit available to every believer in their respective order according to the Holy Scriptures.
