True Reformation:
The Reforming of the Church according to Scripture
Part 9
…The Kingdom is WithIN…
In discussing the Kingdom, we have focused on 2 concepts:
1.That of being born again from above which is the Spirit of God’s effect upon the Heart and Mind which causes one to See the Kingdom of Christ and his dominion over heaven and earth as both Son of God and Son of Man, thus it is by Faith or Allegiance one also recognizes Grace which is believed in Fact as the remedy for our unrighteousness and sin.
2. That Entrancement into the Kingdom comes by Water and Spirit, which references Water Baptism or Immersion into Water which washes away the literal filth of the Flesh, but is a type of the Death burial and resurrection of one who arises in a newness of life, with the additional emphasis further revealed in the Death, burial and Resurrection of Christ which Water Baptism has always symbolized as it’s eternal pattern for Adam man’s filthiness. According the multitude of Apostolic writings which as well attest to Christian Water Baptism as being the deed done in the flesh with affects our Spirit by a further out pouring of the Holy Spirit of God upon the obedient Christian.
At Great length in these past messages focus has been sharpened and actualized how it is that the knowledge of Christ’s rule or Dominion is in fact at the heart of understanding His Kingdom.
So the simple and Logical question is where is Christ’s Kingdom now?
When we live in a world which seemingly has rejected YHWH, He That Is God as the Ancient of Days and they have rejected His Son and Word, in both the testament of Scripture and in the Son of Man Jesus Christ, Where then is God’s Kingdom? In a world or society that has Christ as it’s focus, as America and Europe’s Governments had in times past, even in their imperfect state, the Society acknowledged Christ as King of kings and LORD of lords, In that society it was perhaps more easiest to actualize the Kingdom of Christ as ruling the world as one would know it.
But if we consider Christians of Times past, when Rome killed them by the 1000’s, those Christian’s accusation was simply that as :
Act_17:6 puts it: …These that have turned the world upside down are …do contrary to the decrees of Caesar, saying that there is another king, Jesus. This was the accusation even when no Government of men bowed the knee at all to the name of Jesu, and none swore a pledge of allegiance to his Kingdom.
We have shown the YHWH the Father made the Cosmos by his Word and framed the heavens and the earth and all that in them is, and as the creator he is the LORD, as Lord he is King and His kingdom is All things plainly. Yet where do look to when we desire the days of the coming of the son of Man, as spoken of in Dan_7:14 that, And to him was given the dominion, and the honour, and the kingdom; and all nations, tribes, and languages, shall serve him: his dominion is an everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and his kingdom shall not be destroyed. Confirmed in Mat_28:18 And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.
Where do we draw our argument from to war against our own doubt, which wars against our Reformation?
Some look to the heavens and the spiritual realm alone because the Earth is a mess to our visage in compare to the visage seen by our European Ancestors from the times of Constantine onward in Europe, consider our present Christian discouragement comes from the challenge before us that our high praised European Ancestors rose to in times past; they did not look to the heavens alone that the word made flesh would descend again to them, nor did they look to the resurrection of the Word a second time beyond the Place where all power was given to Christ at his only bodily resurrection, they rather relied on what was revealed and near them: the Word of Faith :
Rom_10:8-11 …The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach; That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.
That speaks to now!
Our Salvation, not of only ever lasting life, but salvation from this present Generation. And to our Ancestors, to their untoward Generation!
Consider how those ancestors had only Moses and the Prophets to look to, King David, Josiah and Nehemiah and Ezra as the best example for a Kingdom under God in Civil observation, what was their driving force to alter the laws of Heathen lands and laws of other gods to reflect and establish the Scripture as a source for true Law?
Where was the Kingdom Established which is said to rule Earth along with the Heavens?
Romans 10 Just spoke to us of it, in you mouth and in your heart!
Consider Christ’s lesson:
Luk_17:20 And when he was demanded of the Pharisees, when the kingdom of God should come, he answered them and said, The kingdom of God cometh not with observation:
Luk 17:21 Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you.
Luk 17:22 And he said unto the disciples, The days will come, when ye shall desire to see one of the days of the Son of man, and ye shall not see it.
Luk 17:23 And they shall say to you, See here; or, see there: go not after them, nor follow them.
Luk 17:24 For as the lightning, that lighteneth out of the one part under heaven, shineth unto the other part under heaven; so shall also the Son of man be in his day.
Listen to the language, See here! See There! In the Greek both John 3:3 and these verses speak of the Ideo, to be understood as sight to the mind, or in English we transliterate this word Idea, which in our modern vanacular is a thought, but in the Greek usage it is a harmony between the eyes and mind.
Yet the point is that Christ has taught us early in John 3 that it is this Idea of the Kingdom which is the Evedence that one has been born again from above by the spirit. In speaking to the disciples he is warning of those who will see it else where, than where this Seen Idea resides ‘with in you’, where the word of Faith Resides, ‘in your mouth…in your heart’, ‘with in you’
So the continued warning is:
Luk 17:25 But first must he suffer many things, and be rejected of this generation.
Luk 17:26 And as it was in the days of Noe, so shall it be also in the days of the Son of man.
Luk 17:27 They did eat, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, and the flood came, and destroyed them all.
Luk 17:28 Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot; they did eat, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they builded;
Luk 17:29 But the same day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed them all.
Luk 17:30 Even thus shall it be in the day when the Son of man is revealed.
Luk 17:31 In that day, he which shall be upon the housetop, and his stuff in the house, let him not come down to take it away: and he that is in the field, let him likewise not return back.
Luk 17:32 Remember Lot’s wife.
Luk 17:33 Whosoever shall seek to save his life shall lose it; and whosoever shall lose his life shall preserve it.
Did Lot’s wife have Faith? No she turned back to the filth of wicked Sodom. Or as the Apostle Paul puts it in Gal_ 4:9: But now, after that ye have known God, or rather are known of God, how turn ye again to the weak and beggarly elements, where unto ye desire again to be in bondage?
and again for another example:
Luk 18:15 And they brought unto him also infants, that he would touch them: but when his disciples saw it, they rebuked them.
Luk_18:16 But Jesus called them unto him, and said, Suffer little children to come unto me, and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom of God.
Luk_18:17 Verily (Amen) I say unto you, Whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child shall in no wise enter therein.
It is important to dissect this language properly, and not read it and interpret it as referring to our selves being like little children, that is that we adopt the mentality of children, rather the statement is specifically in the Greek and English referring to holding or taking care of a Child! That we receive the Kingdom in a nurturing way, a loving way, in a way of caring way, so let e help rephrase to help: ‘Truly I say unto you, Whosoever shall not hold the kingdom of God as a little child shall in no wise Enter into it.’
And here is a story to help with that care, that receiving of the Kingdom:
Luk 18:18 And a certain ruler asked him, saying, Good Master, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?
Luk 18:19 And Jesus said unto him, Why callest thou me good? none is good, save one, that is, God.
Luk 18:20 Thou knowest the commandments, Do not commit adultery, Do not kill, Do not steal, Do not bear false witness, Honour thy father and thy mother.
Luk 18:21 And he said, All these have I kept from my youth up.
Luk 18:22 Now when Jesus heard these things, he said unto him, Yet lackest thou one thing: sell all that thou hast, and distribute unto the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, follow me.
Luk 18:23 And when he heard this, he was very sorrowful: for he was very rich.
Luk 18:24 And when Jesus saw that he was very sorrowful, he said, How hardly shall they that have riches enter into the kingdom of God!
Luk_18:25 For it is easier for a gemmel rope (anchor) to go through a needle’s eye, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.
The Lawful rich man could not truly care for the kingdom, the kingdom was not more important than all else. Like when a couple have a Child all they have will be used to care for it, they receive that child with love and care as the future of their family, thus all they have in this life is not in compare to the holding of that child.
Because the kingdom of God is seen within the Faithful we nurture it and hold it we receive it as we would our own child, even more so once we understand that the too make up the coming Kingdom.
