Are you confused as to how the biblical calendar functions?
This ‘May’ will be a great opportunity for learning! You’ll be able to see what every month looked like for the Israel via Genesis 1:14, Exodus 20:8, Exodus 31:13 and Leviticus 23, Psalm 104:19 & Psalm 81:1-6.
Why will this ‘May’ work to help?
Because the pagan month of ‘May’ will exactly mimic the lunar moonth’s day dates with ‘sunday’ mimicking the weekly lunar sabbath.
If you are used to the idea of ‘sunday’ being a sabbath, then this moonth might help you comprehend how the whole system works in understanding the worship GOD commanded Israel from a biblical reality perspective.
AS A BONUS:
This new moon coming will move us into the liturgical month of Abib, the first month of our agricultural and ecclesiastical year in regard to worship.
So, look at the calendar linked and see how this New Moon (sunday, may 1st) will also mark Abib 1, and weekly Sabbaths in alignment with the feast of YHWH will be on sundays every day this month, with Passover on the evening of the 14th and sabbath on the 15th, and the feast running from the 14th at evening to the sabbath of the 21st at evening.
I hope this helps, it’s a great opportunity to learn.
