Greetings in the Name of Christ the King!
This is an announcement to those who might not know and a reminded for those who do that THIS EVENING (Nov 5th) we will be starting the Feast of the Seventh Moonth aka the Feast of Tabernacles aka the Feast of Ingathering.
The Feast is kept from Wednesday evening NOV 5th until Wednesday Evening the 12th.
The Day light portions of Thursday Nov 6th & Nov 13th are High Sabbath Days of worship called for special liturgical Holy Convocations (Lev 24:34-43).
How do we Keep the feast of the Seventh Moonth?
As Families of a Church we keep the Feast in 3 mayor ways:
1. We Worship God according to His Word in the Spirit of the feast of the Seventh Moonth as Scripture directs us. Offering the Sacrifice of Praise daily and reading from the book of the Law (Deuteronomy) every day of the week. (Deut 31:9-13).
2.Families are encouraged to use tents, tabernacles or booths throughout the week as well as decorate with branches and boughs, wreaths and other like remembrances about their homes and fire sites- made of the material mentioned by God in Lev 23:34-43. This is a reminder of European Israel’s Wondering in the Wilderness, we also at this time remember the tabernacling of the Christian American pilgrims seeking for a New Jerusalem.
3. We importantly celebrate with Thanksgiving the feast of Ingathering, which is a reminder that this is the End of the Agricultural year, and the Crops of the land are harvested for the winter provisions (Exodus 23:16; 34:22).
Pastor Lowther’s family offers Worship and Reading of the Law with fellowship every day of the feast, and those who have a will to join in are welcomed to church throughout the feast week.
