True Reformation:

The Reforming of the Church according to Scripture

Part 7

Except a man be Born Again, he cannot See…

(New Heart, New Mind, New Spirit)

Lev_26:40 If they shall confess their iniquity, and the iniquity of their fathers, with their trespass which they trespassed against me, and that also they have walked contrary unto me;

Lev 26:41 And that I also have walked contrary unto them, and have brought them into the land of their enemies; if then their uncircumcised hearts be humbled, and they then accept of the punishment of their iniquity:

Lev 26:42 Then will I remember my covenant with Jacob, and also my covenant with Isaac, and also my covenant with Abraham will I remember; and I will remember the land.

In this part 7 of our study of True Reformation we are going to see this return from the curse, unto a sanctified walk: Our Lord taught a very important concept which is often times confused with Eternal life (as is salvation or being saved), and that is the concept of being born again. The Next message, part 8 will focus specifically on John 3, yet for now let it be considered: Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. (Joh_3:3), this verse only deals with one’s ability to see ‘the kingdom of God’, that is God’s rule, and God’s sovereignty; now one who truly see’s it will do all he can to enter if he truly wishes to be saved. But technically, one may see a thing and never enter in, they may consider that the God of the bible is the LORD of all and able to save or condemn the soul in this life and in that which is to come, but they may never walk with God. They like a corrected child may stair at His father deciding if wants to obey, realizing the person of God but not ready to listen to his words of correction, that is to submit to the reasonable service of God, it is at this point further faith is decided, the spirit has brought sight to the mind, but the mind has not yet moved and perhaps never will?

Consider again, the cord created by Grace, Faith and Sanctification:

Remembering that Grace is the Faithfulness of YHWH God to forgive His Covenant People, which is a gift of mercy bestowed upon them, not of works, nor anything one may do, but it is a free gift which is offered while we are dead in sin to stand up before a Holy and terrible God.

Faith is the Belief or Trust we have in YHWH God, the God of the Bible. the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who is God’s Word made flesh; Faith acknowledges the Grace which is offered by YHWH Alone for forgiveness and redemption through Christ as revealed by the Word and it’s hearing, and that Faith Trusts that the Law of God is perfect, that the Word of God is True and Righteous altogether.

Sanctification is the Holiness of God which comes by the Holy Spirit who is the Spirit of Truth, Truth which comes from God’s Creative and eventual Word as well and in conjunction with God’s written Word as found in the Bible. The Truth of God’s Word, containing His Law, Teaches Christian’s by the Spirit of God which works through His Word the Logic of God and thus the Reasonable Service of Christians to walk as Christ by the rule of God’s Law for Sanctification or Holiness.

I pray these sentiments have ingrained into the mind of all who have heard the first 6 parts of this Message, and that according to these biblically defined elements a Cord of Salvation is seen, by it so shall we be saved, and in following it we may be given eternal life.

So, stepping in to the more divisive subject of Sanctification and focusing upon it’s member in the Cord of Salvation, and remembering constantly that this member is dependent on the other elements of Grace and Faith, and that as all Faith comes by Hearing and Hearing by the Word of God and thus Faith is recognized by Scripture Alone as it’s source of confirmed revelation. Thus it is the twine of Sanctification within the cord which christian and non-christian alike divide over: anger, bother, accusation’s of heresy all stem from the members, the threads with in the twine of the cord of Sanctification braided into the Rope, the larger cord of Salvation, this is because when we start defining holiness applied to men, in fulfillment of ‘be ye holy, for I YHWH thy God am Holy’, it is imposed upon the actions and works, that is the literal walk a christian is lead to by the dictates of Scripture from the Inspiration of the Holy Spirit of Truth, here is where the Christian returns to the walk his Father God has taught him in True Reformation.

The very first aspects, and foundation of Sanctification in a Soul has already acknowledged Grace through Faith and Faith through Grace as the symbiosis which Sanctification is bound, and that as Act_20:32 speaks it is:… the word of his grace, which is able to build you up, and to give you an inheritance among all them which are sanctified.

As well in this symbiosis of Grace with Sanctification we are warned in:

Heb_10:29 Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace?

These are some of the definitive associations of the workings of Grace with Sanctification,

Yet as as well a deffinitive association of Faith with Sanctification is just as clear:

Act_26:16-18, which tells of the totality of this cord with specific wording of the bond between Sanctification by Faith as was part Paul’s mission when Christ reveals himself to the ambassador of the Kingdom Paul, Christ :

now I send thee, To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me.

2Th_2:13 …because God hath from the beginning chosen you to salvation through sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth:

2Th 2:14 Whereunto he called you by our gospel, to the obtaining of the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.

2Th 2:15 Therefore, brethren, stand fast, and hold the traditions which ye have been taught, whether by word, or our epistle.

2Th 2:16 Now our Lord Jesus Christ himself, and God, even our Father, which hath loved us, and hath given us everlasting consolation and good hope through grace,

2Th 2:17 Comfort your hearts, and stablish you in every good word and work.

So here is where our last study in Sanctification is processed, where we understand the holiness of God and the holiness of the standard God requires from those who are Faithful as they walk with him, the walk those who stand in his Grace walk in empowered by that Gift of forgiveness and of the Law written in the Heart, circumcising the heart and the renewal of the mind, a transformed mind recognizing the reasonable service taught by the traditions, stablishing us in every good word and work. The traditions taught by the apostles came from the Law of God, which teaches the holiness of God, his righteous standards of a people who walk with there God his way. This is where the sanctification spoken of by Paul and your sanctification is confirm and defined:

Joh 17:17 Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.

Joh 17:18 As thou hast sent me into the world, even so have I also sent them into the world.

Joh 17:19 And for their sakes I sanctify myself, that they also might be sanctified through the truth.

Knowing then that:

…Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it; That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word, That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish. (Eph_5:25-27)

Is it a wonder to start at the washing which comes by Baptism?

Our start in our works are taught by the Word, as we begin our walk of Sanctification / Holiness that God may be pleased with us.

If we have seen this, and if we have acknowledged this the symbiosis of Faith and Grace and that is firm, being born again in our heart and mind, ready to obey in both flesh and spirit, ready to response to the curse of the Law we are under, Peter answered this very question of what to do after that point:

Act 2:32 This Jesus hath God raised up, whereof we all are witnesses.

Act 2:33 Therefore being by the right hand of God exalted, and having received of the Father the promise of the Holy Ghost, he hath shed forth this, which ye now see and hear.

Act 2:34 For David is not ascended into the heavens: but he saith himself, YHWH said unto my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand,

Act 2:35 Until I make thy foes thy footstool.

Act 2:36 Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly, that God hath made that same Jesus, whom ye have crucified, both Lord and Christ.

Act 2:37 Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do?

Act 2:38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

The kingship of Christ was the needed acknowledgment, the Anointing of Jesu as King and the the earth is his foot stool. The sovereignty of the Word of God in the person of Jesus Christ was preached to these men of Judah, once this was seen and the heart and mind has turned, Baptism is commanded for the remission of sin and the receiving of the Holy Spirit, a receiving which shall add beyond that which drew the person to even begin to see the Lordship of Christ, and thereafter such a change should resemble the following:

Act 2:39 For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call.

Act 2:40 And with many other words did he testify and exhort, saying, Save yourselves from this untoward generation.

Act 2:41 Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls.

Act 2:42 And they continued stedfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers.

The sovereignty of YHWH as LORD is paramount in this lesson, as when the Lord commands for baptism for the remission of sin and for the receiving of the holy Spirit as a normative part of the salvation of God for the Israel of God, then by ignoring that normative principle, and or reasoning it away contrary to a direct commandment shows that your sin remains and that you are yet in an UN purified, UN sanctified, un-holy state, not only in body, that is the flesh, but in the heart and mind, there by showing that the one who argues such a point contrary to the faith which comes by the word of God to be ‘un-faithful’ or otherwise said an infidel, having no fidelity in the words of Scripture and thus that salvation which leads to eternal life is determined by ones own dictates and not by the dictates of Almighty God.

Baptism is the first submission imposed upon the flesh by a converted spirit which has acknowledged Grace through Faith, and bears witness to Faith by Sanctification of the spirit. Baptism as the leading purification process not the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God,) by the resurrection of Jesus Christ: (1Pe_3:21)

Mar_16:16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.

And again, with out true belief, trust or Faith you baptism only washes away the filth of the flesh but in no wise can reach the conscience in true Sanctification, real holiness before God Yet comes by Faith, and Faith is only known by the believer and and one giving and receiving the Faith. Damnation or condemnation does not remain because one is not Baptized for the remission of Sins, Damnation or condemnation remains because the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen was not heard in the heart and mind by the word of God unto salvation, salvation which leads to eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Tit_3:3 For we ourselves also were sometimes foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving divers lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful, and hating one another.

Tit 3:4 But after that the kindness and love of God our Saviour toward man appeared,

Tit 3:5 Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;

Tit 3:6 Which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour;

Tit 3:7 That being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life.

Again, even when you do those things please to God, something as simple as Baptism for the remission of Sin, it is not you works, it’s by His Grace that is YHWH’s Faithfulness towards us, and his path for our Sanctification, from spirit to flesh, and subjecting the flesh to the will of the spirit.

Rom 6:1 What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound?

Rom 6:2 God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?

Rom 6:3 Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death?

Rom 6:4 Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.

Rom 6:5 For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection:

Rom 6:6 Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin.

Rom 6:7 For he that is dead is freed from sin.

Rom 6:8 Now if we be dead with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with him:

Rom 6:9 Knowing that Christ being raised from the dead dieth no more; death hath no more dominion over him.

Rom 6:10 For in that he died, he died unto sin once: but in that he liveth, he liveth unto God.

Rom 6:11 Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Rom 6:12 Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye should obey it in the lusts thereof.

Rom 6:13 Neither yield ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God.

Rom 6:14 For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace.

Baptism is the start of our spirits efforts to kill the old man, the flesh, to kill the mortal, carnal body and it’s lusts, to die with Christ and to arise in the renewal of his resurrection to obey the Law of God as YHWH had always desired, we are NOT under the condemnation of the Law by our Sin we are thank God Under His Grace to yield our selves to him as instruments of His righteousness.

Rom 8:1 There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

Rom 8:2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.

Rom 8:3 For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh:

Rom 8:4 That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

Here is the biblical reason for Grace it’s the same as the reason given in the Law, to return YHWH’s sons and daughter to Him to serve him…Lets Return.

About JS Lowther

Foremost I know that I am a chief sinner saved by Grace. I am a servant of YHWH Almighty the one true God Who is Father, Son and Spirit. I believe in God's only begotten and perfect Son Jesu(s) Christ whose redemption power of my soul I have Faith in and testify of. Having been redeemed by the blood of Christ, I wish to no longer spend my time in the lusts of the flesh and of this world, but to promote the Gospel of the Kingdom by means of the knowledge of the New Covenant, a reNewal of the Covenant God made with his people Israel in the blood of Christ (Jer 31:31 and Heb 8:8) whereby He writes His Law upon the Heart and Mind beside the forgiveness of sin and transgressions. I believe Christ Jesus is the incarnate Son of God as the WORD made flesh, and the son of man born of the virgin Mary conceived of the Holy Spirit: I believe Christ Jesus Lived a perfect life for us as a living sacrifice as well as a pattern of the Sanctified newness of life a believer has in Him, I believe Christ Jesus died a cursed death on the Cross for His people of Covenant who are sinners, and I believe in Christ Jesus who Resurrected with power from Death from the grave to Justify the offenders. This is the same Jesus who is indeed the Son of David and king of Israel, who is both LORD and Christ over all the kings and dominions of the earth! In the fullness of time YHWH will regather his people under the Head of the Church, Jesu(s) Christ to affect his will according to the Lord's prayer, Psalm 2, 8 and 110 as well as Genesis 1:26. The focus of my administration of the Gospel is like unto my Lord's who said "I have come not but for the lost sheep of the house of Israel.."(Mathew 15:24), and so I have come to my European kinsman according to the flesh. It is my mission to show the Israel of God the Salvation which is taught by Scripture Alone and offered in all ages by Grace Alone through Faith Alone in the work of Christ Alone to the Glory of GOD Alone. As a modern day Puritan separatist it is my goal to purify the church of Christ with Faith heretofore stated. I am studying to show my self approved, if you have any questions just ask!
