Ephesianism
(The only way to unify the Church of the Common wealth of Israel
–
The hope of the calling)
Ephesians ch. 4:1-16
Just audio this time…
Except for the references provided below:
Get out your Bible turn to Ephesians and study to show your self approved …
Eph_4:1 I therefore, a prisoner for the Lord,
1. urge you to walk in a manner worthy of the calling to which you have been called,
(If we remember the walk we are called out of, in Eph_2:1-3 you were dead in the trespasses and sins in which you once walked, (it was) following the course (or Road) of this world, following the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that is now at work in the sons of disobedience— among whom we all once lived in the passions of our flesh, carrying out the desires of the body and the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, even as others.
And so this is a call to correct the state we were called out of, to rather walk:
Eph_4:2-3
1. with all humility or humbly
2. and gentleness or meek
3. with patience or longsuffering
4. bearing with one another in love,
5. eager to maintain the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace /Endeavouring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.
These are the 5 points of reformation we are called to in showing if we be of 1 body and 1 spirit: If these points are lacking in the way we walk as ‘members one of the other’, in what we perceive to be a body that is called a Church, we are not a body together and we do not have the same spirit. All of these points speak of a walk which is truly resembling to the way in which one truly walks and what he truly maintains in his own body while he exerts himself in walking. Consider taking a hike and how the body works together, is one foot not striving to be matched to the other foot? But when one leg is strong it helps the weak with no pride, and the weak humbly and meekly accepts the help to the unity of the steps being taken and vis versa, the body in different parts is patient and long suffering to a common goal, the body’s parts are ready to endeavor to bear the needed work for the walk both breathing the same air using the same oxygen needed to do the work, this is The Bond of Peace, the very desire to keep this unity we all share in the Spirit which The Father Grants from his glory to us in Eph 3:16-17 … to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man; (this is )Christ dwelling in your hearts by faith; these are our roots grounded in love.
And I just want to point out, that these 5 points are not general attributes to be a good person, but are attributes one toward the other in the church, attributes the Scriptures have always taught for one another to live together with in a bond of peace.
Eph 4:4 There is one body and one Spirit—
just as you were called to the one hope that belongs to your call—
Notice this description before we continue onto the Items of this sone body and one spirt which we are endeavoring to maintain the unity of by the bond of peace.
…you were called to the
one hope that belongs to your call
There is to be One Hope the belongs to your call, not 2 but one hope, that when you are called this is first referenced in Eph_1:13 which you heard and In whom you also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, it was the gospel, the good news of your…(good news is Hope! It is the Hope of the calling you heard): It was the all things IN the One Christ, that is in whom after you believed, you were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise… This is the Hope of the calling of Eph_1:18 having the eyes of your hearts enlightened, that you may know what is the hope to which he has called you, what are the riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints,
This is something I didn’t point out, but is fascinating to see, this verse 1:18 is referring to seeing a call you haven’t yet heard! Your eyes are enlightened to see the call, like a distance between the one calling and the one being called, that before you hear and understand however you have received a hope that Christ is Calling you but his word of truth, by his gospel of salvation…From the moment we see the lips call to us from the word of Faith we desire to know “ …what is the hope to which he has called you, what are the riches of his glorious inheritance in the holy ones / his saints”
And so this hope is repeated to take our thoughts back to this
..One hope that belongs to your call— Eph 4:4
It is so vital that we ever reflect on the hope of our call before we have moved into our work, because it is in the purity of that Hope of knowing the will of God and hearing God’s Word that we in fact find the depth of all of our unity with the father through Christ by the spirit that causes us to walk as one body on the new course we are hiking on, How does this relate?
Remember the hope of knowing the
Eph_4:5 one Lord,
one faith,
one baptism,
Eph 4:6 one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all.
The Simplicity of knowing that we can hear this call, and hear it together is a gift given by Christ himself of Grace to those whom he calls unto, and in the HOPE of this call.
What we endeavored in this call we heard and believed in, that in Truth: Grace was given to our dead state to allow us to see and hear what God has said, this is the unity and bond of peace of the Church, the unity and bond of peace is in all of us having been given Grace through faith making us His workmanship IN Christ, with out this set of one things we Hope for when we first realized we were dead: without strength and with out hope, with out God in this world Eph_2:12 remember that you were at that time separated from Christ, alienated from the commonwealth of Israel and strangers to the covenants of promise, having no hope and without God in the world.
Eph_2:13 But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far off are made near by the blood of Christ.
Eph 2:14 For he is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition…
Do you not see the Peace in this one Hope of our calling that comes by Grace through Faith before all else we separate ourselves from one and other by?
The one Spirit and the One Body all starts in the One Hope of knowing:
one Lord Jesus Christ
one Faith which conveys Grace
one Baptism which we are baptized with, into his death and resurrection
All Confessing: One God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all
