Part 2 of a New Series: “Principally Regulated by the Scripture”
“The Perfect Sacrifice, Congregational Worship & Not Forsaking the Assembly”
This study will be a doctrinal subject study with a focus on understanding the reality of the Eternal Blood of the Covenant and its imputation, How this applies to congregational worship, and what Assemblies are to not be forsaken by those of the congregation Sanctified by the promise and Blood of the Covenant in accordance with Hebrews chapter 10 v.25 , in light of Galatians 4:10? How do we mesh all this in a system Principally Regulated by Scripture?

Principally Regulated by the Scripture
Part 2
The Perfect Sacrifice, Congregational Worship & Not Forsaking the Assembly
2Ti_3:12-17
Our Father we know by thy word :
All that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.
Therefore make us strong.
Let us not be decieved by evil men and seducers
which wax worse and worse, being deceived them selves.
Continue us in the things which we have learned of and have been assured of by thee:
Though we may have from a child known the holy scriptures,
allow them to make us wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.
Profit unto us All thy scripture given by thy inspiration:
for our doctrine, for our reproof, for our correction, for our instruction in righteousness:
That we may be the men and women of God perfectly & thoroughly furnished unto all good works.
Amen
Gal_4:1 Now I say, That the heir, as long as he is a child, differeth nothing from a servant, though he be lord of all;
Gal 4:2 But is under tutors and governors until the time appointed of the father.
Gal 4:3 Even so we, when we were children, were in bondage under the elements of the world:
Gal 4:4 But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law,
Gal 4:5 To redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons.
Gal 4:6 And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father.
Gal 4:7 Wherefore thou art no more a servant, but a son; and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ.
Gal 4:8 Howbeit then, when ye knew not God, ye did service unto them which by nature are no gods.
Gal 4:9 But now, after that ye have known God, or rather are known of God, how turn ye again to the weak and beggarly elements, whereunto ye desire again to be in bondage?
Gal 4:10 Ye observe days, and months, and times, and years.
Gal 4:11 I am afraid of you, lest I have bestowed upon you labour in vain.
Let us Here End in the Reading of God’s Holy Word Spoken to us
In last bible study before the days of purim, I had spoke to you concerning the importance of the New Covenant.
And showed how that the will of God, the word of God, and the Law of God as are all things of God have no need of amendment or change, nor do they ever change for men. But what so ever is done of God is done by his own good pleasure.
Rather we are to consider that God in his eternality and Grace had provided Grace before the world ever was by Jesus blood as a lamb slain for us since the foundations of the world.
That is that the fact of God’s eternality and almighty YHWH name, and Nature is that God does not change, nor does God lie, but man is weak through the flesh, and all God’s grace is due to man’s fault of flesh.
The failure of the priesthood it self since the day it was ordained was weak because the flesh of man.
Yet it is the power of God by his holy spirit that man is renewed. And it is man that sees the Law and commandment as New to his renewed life, it is man that looks at the ancient and eternal things of God written in the fabric of Eternity that logic of God almighty YHWH that founded the creation in wisdom, knowledge and understanding, we as redeemed flesh see this ancient door lifted up that we as sons and daughter of the king of glory might come in as the redeemed of Zion. Here is what we see in a new light, having forgiveness we have faith, hope and truth, by the inner man given to us by peace with God whom we had prior offended, yet through Jesus Christ enmity is put away, abolished, and nullified, Jesus Christ the Perfect lamb and sacrifice of God it the eternal fulfilment of the law since the foundation of the world in every age, not just at the time his true royal Israelite blood was spilled, but always and through eternity God’s gaze and focus has, is and ever shall be upon the blood of the lamb to perfectly pay for sin by the mechanism of imputation, exchange, where in Christ blood was pledged in exchange for your own if you are a child of God that can find al you hope and righteousness in that blood in time in fact for you eternal life and salvation from god’s eternal wrath to be poured out upon all ungodly and wicked men who hold the truth in unrighteousness.
But those who are renewed have a renewed mind that no longer feels the judgment and condemnation of sin by the commandment that slays him, but rather feels the yoke of Christ as easy and his burden light knowing: The knowledge of sin is not to remain un developed or defined after that initial lesson of the law as a schoolmaster is taught, rather Jesus become the school master to us as a merciful and gracious teacher and master having redeemed us he says:
Mat_11:28 Come unto me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
Mat 11:29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.
Mat 11:30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.
This is the redemption of Christ, not that the flesh is spared from the yoke, of law but that the law and commandment of Christ is easy, not that no burden exists but that in the word’s of Peter:
1Pe_5:6 Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time:
1Pe 5:7 Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.
This is the easy yoke and the light burden of Christ, but it can certainly never be said their is no yoke, and their is no burden, but that humility or meekness to the the mighty hand of God in Christ is rest to the sin weary soul, but it is not the license of sin found in grace… God forbid.
Today we are going to start discussing the Law of God as it moves past our worship as individuals, a worship by the words of God which we could general refer to as pietism, That is to have piety towards God or to live Godly.
All Christin’s that serve God are to do so as a living sacrifice, believing such is totally acceptable and reasonable, logical to give up ones fleshly mind for a Spiritual mind of Christ, to see your fleshly body fade away in the light of the word of God and its testimony…this is logical it is reasonable once the mind of the New Covenant has be confirmed,
And again the question is, to test if you are Christ’s having that unilateral, one party covenant made known to you. That is not do you enter into the contract, but to you believe these New Covenant statements are True?
- Made with the house of Israel?
- God puts His laws into the mind, and writes them on the heart?
- He is confirmed as your God, and you are one of his people?
- You believe God will be merciful toward your iniquities?
- You believe God will remember your sins no more?
Why do I ask this?
These are the basics of the New Covenant, and if you do not accept these terms at face value regardless of if you totally and truly understand them or not, you believe the bible and these words of the bible are unsperable from the New Covenant made in Jesus Blood, if you do not, then you have good reason to ask the question “do I believe in the New Testament and or New Covenant which the prophet Jeramiah spoke of, and that whih the writed of Hebrews Confirmed as having come to pass in Jesus Christ ? And if you have not faith in th word of the New Covenant made in Christ’s blood as per
Mat_26:28 For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.
Then you really have no place in your heart and mind for the law of God and no desire to be one of the people of God, therefore, this message concerning worshiping god as His covenant people principally regulated by the Scripture where in we use the Law of God which is God’s Word to accurately worship him as best we know how will have no affect on you.
All this is rooted and stablished in Jesus Blood, and walking in the Law of God taught by Him as the teacher:
So our worship congregationally is established by the law written in the heart and mind, that is why we desire accurate worship and order of life.
We should have a desire to:
1Co 14:40 Let all things be done decently and in order.
But how is that done according to the Word of God and in subjection to the New Covenant knowing Christ is High Priest?
I am not claiming to have all forms of worship perfect, nor do I expect it will be so, but so long as our worship is patterned off of the word and law of God as closely as is permitted by the Word and Law of God then we are more close to worshiping according to the ordinance of worship and less in worship to another system, a sytem which we could just as well say is “of another gods worship”, that “god” most especially we must watch out for is ‘Self’ and its sytem is ‘Our own self will’. That is in fact the most fierce and terrifying idol we all will ever face in opposition to YHWH, which we oft bow down to. That Idol, and in fact the only Idol we oft raise up beside the one True and Living GOD, YHWH the SELF EXISTANT ONE, is the dying likeness and image of HIM, Our Own SELF.
So Let us begin to look at those Regulative Principles of Worship from the 10 commandments:
We have prior looked at the 1st & 2nd Commandment in regards to idolatry and worship, and of course all reformed and protestant churches do not believe in worshiping any other God but the LORD, Jehovah or YHWH nor do they believe in literally the bowing down to idols in reverence to God.
To ‘take YHWH’s name is vain’, is in worship, oaths, or regular conversation of life. There are differences of how this 3rd commandment is understood and where it fits in to life, but the agreement would be that:
Whatsoever we do in the Name of The LORD God and do for the LORD God we do not do vainly, but faithfully and fully, knowing the LORD knows the intent of our heart and will not hold us ‘guiltless’ for doing such.
But when we get to the 4th commandment, we start to see and hear what can be a vast difference in how we worship and so service to our LORD God faithfully.
Yes this is relative to the 1st, 2nd and 3rd commandment, but because of diverse and different interpretations and hermeneutical approaches are taken to understand it’s application and varied forms of sabbatical worship as they exist in the Christian church.
We differ from many in the Christian church who admits to have the Law of God written on their heart and mind according to the terms of the New Covenant.
And so today we will discuss why we have that difference. I will not take the time to refute unbiblical positions, because all position which have not its root in the sufficiency of scripture are refuted by that simple fact…they are not derived from scripture and proven by it. So rather I will just show why we worship as we we do.
So in so saying, and in accordance with our past introductory verses, I like to read and expound a bit of:
Heb_10:1 For the law having a shadow of good things to come, and not the very image of the things, can never with those sacrifices which they offered year by year continually make the comers thereunto perfect.
Heb 10:2 For then would they not have ceased to be offered? because that the worshippers once purged should have had no more conscience of sins.
(I want you to understand what is being said here is very similar to what we had read in Galatians 3-4, in this way, the sacrifices of the law ordained by God in his law, are God’s eternal unchangeable word, they were required and every violation of not offering these sacrifices is sin imputed to one who is not imputed righteous by Christ. And when you face verse that require sacrifice, it is a burden of sin that comes down upon you, a yoke that you nor you fathers could bear. The Tabernacle system, the temple system ordain by the holy spirit was as God ordained as the coming of Christ, both established on the word of God. The question is not ‘is it sin that one doesn’t sacrifice and offer blood of bulls and goats on the times God commanded them to be offered, the answer is obviously ‘Yes’, but the question is does God impute sin to those whom Christ has chosen to redeem for the imperfection, weakness and failure of their flesh? and the and answer is this :
Rom_4:7-8 a quore of Psalm 32 Saying, Blessed are they whose iniquities are forgiven, and whose sins are covered.
Rom 4:8 Blessed is the man to whom the Lord will not impute sin.
or as will be said in:
Heb_10:14 For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified.
So let us read the logic, and then I will tell you why we are reading Hebrews concerning our congregational worship )
Heb 10:3 But in those sacrifices there is a remembrance again made of sins every year.
Heb 10:4 For it is not possible that the blood of bulls and of goats should take away sins.
Heb 10:5 Wherefore when he cometh into the world, he saith, Sacrifice and offering thou wouldest not, but a body hast thou prepared me:
Heb 10:6 In burnt offerings and sacrifices for sin thou hast had no pleasure.
Heb 10:7 Then said I, Lo, I come (in the volume of the book it is written of me,) to do thy will, O God.
Heb 10:8 Above when he said, Sacrifice and offering and burnt offerings and offering for sin thou wouldest not, neither hadst pleasure therein; which are offered by the law;
Heb 10:9 Then said he, Lo, I come to do thy will, O God. He taketh away the first, that he may establish the second.
Heb 10:10 By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.
Heb 10:11 And every priest standeth daily ministering and offering oftentimes the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins:
Heb 10:12 But this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of God;
Heb 10:13 From henceforth expecting till his enemies be made his footstool.
Heb_10:14 For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified.
Heb 10:15 Whereof the Holy Ghost also is a witness to us: for after that he had said before,
Heb 10:16 This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, saith the Lord, I will put my laws into their hearts, and in their minds will I write them;
Heb 10:17 And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more.
Heb 10:18 Now where remission of these is, there is no more offering for sin.
Heb 10:19 Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus,
Heb 10:20 By a new and living way, which he hath consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh;
Heb 10:21 And having an high priest over the house of God;
Heb 10:22 Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water.
Heb 10:23 Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;)
Heb 10:24 And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works:
Heb 10:25 Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.
It you noticed the context of Heb_10, you would have noticed that in fact the writer of Hebrews was tell of the ending of the altar for sacrifice for a time. That is that a historical event was to happen soon.
But notice that Sanctified Israel (saints) have never been dependent of the tabernacle or temple for forgiveness of sin, NO, not on any element of the world, no not even on time it self.
But this promise of a thing called ‘the eternal blood of the covenant’ ( Heb_13:20 ) was timeless and outside of the bounds of the elements and rudiments of the world altogether.
Therefore mark these points:
- The Priesthood of Aaron is for national worship, not for justification.
- The sacrifices were for daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly national worship to bring the people culturally to together, not for justification
- The feasts and their assemblies of weekly, monthly, and yearly national worship were to bring the people culturally to together for worship according to the Law, but was not for justification.
Jesus promise and immutable word and oath in promise of his blood, now complete in time, as the true image was yet outside of the realm of the elements of the world that truly affected salvation for every believer ever born or to be born. It was Jesus blood that justified every worshiper that was ever sanctified, that is considered holy.
Yet the author says:
Heb 10:18 Now where remission of these is, there is no more offering for sin.
That is the “them” of the New Covenant: who have
Heb 10:17 …their sins and iniquities remembered no more by YHWH God.
ThisHeb 10:19 Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus,
Heb 10:20 By a new and living way, which he hath consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh;
Heb 10:21 And having an high priest over the house of God;
Now that I have laid forth, the primacy of Jesus Blood imputed establishing a new and living way, with a total understanding of Jesus as high priest in the heavenly Tabernacle made with out hands (the one Moses patterned the earthy after), we are then told to do this:
Heb 10:22 Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water.
Heb 10:23 Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;)
Heb 10:24 And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works:
Heb 10:25 Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.
I am going to leave you with some question, which you all know the answer to in some part, but perhaps have not considered?
What assemblies was the write of Hebrews referring to in this book and chapter?
Therefore what “assembling of ourselves together” are we to “not to forsake”?
The assembly where we can together That we may:
- “draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, (having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience,)
- and our bodies washed with pure water.
- hold fast the profession of our faith (together) without wavering;
- consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works ?
Is it assemblies as I or We choose ?
If so, when do we choose it or how do we choose it?
Rather consider:
Or is it consistently the times of biblical sacrificial assembly, prior referred to in the Law here in reference, in the book and chapters context in perfect alignment with the whole of scripture from Genesis 1:14, Gen 2, Ex 20, 31, Deuteronomy 5, and Leviticus 23 to name a few?
In the very next line of our introductory text of Galatians Paul says :
Gal 4:9 …how turn ye again to the weak and beggarly elements, whereunto ye desire again to be in bondage?
Gal 4:10 Ye observe days, and months, and times, and years.
Gal 4:11 I am afraid of you, lest I have bestowed upon you labour in vain.
How do we reconcile these statements though the majority of the Christian world would disagree?
By pointing out exactly what Galatians and Hebrews has been consistently pointing out:
While you are commanded to worship God by His word / Law, it is not by his Law and therefore your worship in time (an element and rudiment of the world) you are given Grace, that is Justified.
While we are commanded and t worship God by the law of God, and God’s Law is specific to when and how that worship is to be regulated, those principles and regulations have no Power to save. They may teach a Sanctified soul salvation through Christ and His word, his sacrifice imputed to them, but the work of keeping the assembly, while we are forbade to forsake it, the assemblies of YHWH God’s Law still have no power to save by Your observation.
