Pt. 3 To Whom Shall We Go? (John 6:67-69 /1 Cor 3:11-16)

1 Corinthians 3:11-13
11  For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ.
12  Now if any man build upon this foundation gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble;
13  Every man’s work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man’s work of what sort it is.

Pt.2 To Whom Shall We Go?

Let me ask you…
If you knew how to use a Sword and you knew how it worked in combat, you watched all the youtube videos…
but you didn’t want to use the sword, or fight the fight that needed to be fought?

Logically you know how to handle the sword and how it works, you might even know how the metal is made and tempered (You watched the videos on that too!), how the handle is formed and the quality of the steel, the angle and pitch and thickness of the blade and the optimum way to slice… but you just can’t fathom how to do what you logically know to do,
That is, you can’t put what needs done in to practice, though you are read up and studied up on the subject.

The same is the benefit of hearing God’s Word acknowledging it as truth, studying the bible, accepting what the pages say concerning the Word of God and the Lord Jesus Christ, and even knowing the doctrine of the engrafted Word as a pure gift and never applying it in life’s combat against the devil.

Psa_149:6  Let the high praises of God be in their mouth, and a twoedged sword in their hand; Continue reading

Revelation of the Knowledge of the Son / 2 Corinthians 3 new covenant-vs-old covenant expo

Revelation of the Knowledge of the Son In our main bible study for last sabbath we looked at the aspects of our doctrine concerning God the Son, Christ the Son of God, the Son of man the mediator the man Jesus Christ. This revelation is clearly spoken of in the Old Testament scriptures by Jesus and the New Testament writers who used them. The Doctrine of the Revelation of the Knowledge of the Son is the cornerstone of the Christian Faith, and is in much need of affirmation in a world that does not speak of such things nearly enough. … Continue reading

Don’t forget to support our kingdom efforts if you’d like to see us grow.
If we have sown unto you spiritual things, is it a great thing if we shall reap your carnal things? 1Corinthians 9:11

This is a Expository reading of Psalm 24:1, a scripture we had looked at in the context of 1 Corinthians 10. Upon studying in another place the level of Christological focus jumped out and commanded to be shown to the church listening.
Who is this King of Glory? Continue reading
